Helmets Helmet Shape by Brand

A dealer nearby is having a sale and a friend suggested knowing your head shape before you go shopping. He suggested these shapes: Long oval, Short Oval, Round. I've never heard of the short and long oval shapes. Is this a standard description?

Can the members chip in with the shapes of popular brands of helmets? I've been told Schuberth is oval. BTW, this is a BMW dealer and they have Schuberth and Klim on sale - I don't know if this is a local dealer's promotion or if it is BMW dealer wide.

I’ve read Shoei to be for an oblong head shape- those have always fit my head perfectly. The GMax 3/4 helmet I’ve used in the past wasn’t too bad either.
