Fuel Pump help please,

Glad your up and running again Red sorry I missed your post initially.
I like John would be tempted to give the new to you pump a good cleaning and check then fit that and do the same to your pump and then store it.
Have you just bought the bike? I'm sure I saw that little gem on ebay recently.

Thanks for the advice.

I've had the bike from new, 1998.

Good to hear you are back at it, Red.

My "Exclusive Parts Man to the Stars", Freestyle Don, charged me more than that and HE LIKES ME!

It's a great price if it's less than Don charges, that's what I'm trying to say...

Well, it arrived today nicely packaged, tried it on the bench and it works perfectly.
I suppose it's good to have as a backup especially at that price.

Ride on guys:capwin:

Keep in mind for anyone else looking for a fuel pump - the pump for a Honda GoldWing GL1500 is basically the same thing.

Another option is an automotive fuel pump with an external low pressure regulator - see attached pdf

I thought I had a problem again !!!! I initial thought it was'nt getting enough fuel through, it was really sluggish at low revs and obviously missing a beat.
I suspected / hoping maybe a plug failing, so I treated myself to a set of Iridium tipped plugs. They came today, I've not long fitted them in, took her for a test ride and boy what a difference, well worth the money, really pleased with the outcome.
