Friday Wooler Caff.

Good whatever-part-of-the-day-it-is-where-you-are everyone

Here in Rome it's heading on for evening so I'll forego the coffee, but thanks for the effort Ray.

Another cold ride this morning at -1C, but it was clear. The sun hadn't made it over the horizon yet but the sky was starting to turn blue and lighten up. I layered up this morning with the zip in panel in my riding pants, an extra jacket under my riding jacket with the liner in too, balaclava and neck gaiter, and my winter gauntlets over my Summer riding gloves. Heated seat and grips were on full and I'd added my new lower air deflectors 2 nights ago to help. We'll only see 13 as today's high, but it should be sunny.

Good grief @Obo it must've taken longer to gear up than to get to work.

It started drizzly but tapered off by mid-morning and the sun has been out for much of the afternoon. There are about 73 Fahrenheits floating free in the area. I hope Rome traffic doesn't kill any of them. Wow, what a circus. When scooter riders here want to ease back a bit they become MotoGP racers. Taxi drivers retire to careers in F1.

Lots of tramping around in the afternoon after a morning ramble through the ancient city and the Coliseum. Now it's beer-thirty while I await the return of Mrs. Fun and others.

Spotted this cutie last night. Later I saw the riders, with helmets to match the ride.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them.

Morning all! It's a grey and ominous looking sky out there today. Currently 8C with a predicted high of 10C and rain. Lots and lots of rain with even more tomorrow.

So I took the car today and regretted it the whole way. It would have been a dry ride in, chilly but dry. The ride home would have been wet but what's a little water. However, it was strongly suggested by the Household Admin that I drive. There's suggestions you can ignore and suggestions you ignore at your peril. Not exactly sure which one this was but given that the weekend approaches, I felt it best to avoid tension and err on the side of caution. On a related note to yesterday's thread, Dog Days came on the Spotify playlist I was listening to for the drive in. Spooky. Halloween clearly approaches.....

We spent a good chunk of last night trying to counsel my wife's niece with respect to the sale of her vehicle. It's registered in another province and needed an inspection to register here which turned up a fair amount of repairs were required in order to pass so she has decided to sell it. But the regulatory/insurance nightmare that awaits her trying to do that is fearsome. We're trying to convince her to repair and then sell, otherwise she is going to basically have to give the vehicle away but family politics are involved and we don't want to tread into that minefield. Thankfully, I am now at work and only have to deal with your common place non family based litigation. Who knew the office would be a haven?

Hope everyone has a great day and remember to stop and pump the brakes a bit, enjoy life!

Late Morning Ray & All from a SNOWY, Southern Utah!

That's correct, SNOW! :well1:

Currently it is 35F, and still snowing! Thank goodness, even though we have had snow, off & on since midnight, because it only got down to 32F last night, it's not sticking to the driveways and walkways (meaning I don't have to unbury the snowblower). The wind is from the NNE @ 7 to 24mph. We have also had lots of thunder & lightning!

Yesterday, because of my son/grandkids here until late morning yesterday and how the weather had already turned cold and windy, I didn't get much done. I'll start back up on it, on Monday, after the snow and cold is gone.

Hot cereal, toast & OJ, this morning. Pepsi(s) to follow, later.

Anyone :bl13: (unlike me today), have a great day on the roads! :hat3:
