(Interesting that there is still so much destruction unattended to from the hurricane 2 years ago. But on a good note, Peter's Pizza just opened 3 months ago and is a fabulous place to take a break and enjoy pizza by the slice and other Italian delights).

(Not that food is the only thing I think about, but about 8 miles north up the road is the Red Bay Market and they make one of the best hamburgers anywhere . . . it has a delightful surprising kick!)

The rain finally let up enough for a second try at this tag First try got rained out 40 miles from the tag.

Was a beautiful day to ride. No problem finding the old tag, Joe Patti's except . . . they were closed until further notice. No problem getting a pic from the other side of the ship, but the shrimp that I had been yearning for all morning were not to be had.



I was riding to get a pick of a new tag that I had in mind until I came across this spot I'd never noticed before. Hopefully the area is aptly named!

Old at Sweet Gum. New not far away. I rode earlier to try to miss the storms but by 9:15 I was in hard rain. I was going to go 100 miles farther SE. but got shut down.
