Yeah. There are about a half dozen of them around Central Florida. I zoomed in to look at the address.

I'm looking for a BBQ joint my old riding buddy took me to several years ago. It was somewhere in the middle of no where, it seems in or near Ocala forest. We rode and rode for hours. I had no idea where we were. It seems we came around a curve to a "T" intersection and there was a BBQ joint doing a fairly brisk business. Anyone know where it is or was?

Hog Wild? I think it has changed names. I think it was Backwoods Smokehouse.

Thanks!! I'm pretty sure that's it! I also remembered passing the "mud hole" down the road, Hog Waller Campground and ATV Resort . :biggrin: I don't remember them having fries or shakes and I think the drinks were bottles (beer and soft drinks).

Now, back to our regularly scheduled Tagging.

Yeah, I went right by it on my way to the picture I was going to take and then thought, gee, that's awfully cute, so I turned around.
Then I had a great breakfast at Cattle Dog Coffee Roasters.

Western FL tag game- is from U.S. Rt 319 (East edge of Tallahassee) and on West to the Alabama border.

Northern FL tag game - from U.S. Rt 319 (East edge of Tallahassee) down to Florida State Road "SR40" (Ocala) including 40 through Yankeetown.

Central FL tag game - from Florida State Road "SR40" and on South to Florida State Road "SR70" (Okeechobee).

Southern FL tag game - from Florida State Road "SR70" (Okeechobee) and on South to Key West.

Every time I see a post in the Florida tag game I am curious to know why there are so many different tag regions for Florida. I believe that most other areas, including many states that are much larger, only have one tag region.
Is it because of the unusual shape of Florida?

Well, it's 800ish miles from Key West to Pensacola. That's a little tough for a Saturday afternoon ride. I'm pretty sure there's a few here that would be happy to move a tag from one end of the state to the other, but all that would do is lead to a lot of Rule #8 invocations.

Yup. It's 830 miles to the other end of the state from my house. Chicago is only 22 miles farther from my house.
