Fastest in the West...

I had no idea that a ST1300 is faster than a FJR1300 in 0 to 60mph. No wonder it is so much fun riding my ST. Surprising how fast a Harley can be. I had followed some that I had to work a bit to pass. From the article, I suspect the ST1300 would come in 3rd in 0 to 100mph.

The numbers for the ST1300 in the 0-60 time of 4.37 sec. is way off. No Harley other than the V-rod is close to the ST1300. See attachment.

A bike that has some 25 hp more and weighs less is not likely to be slower 0-60 than an ST1300 unless something has been done to significantly reduce acceleration. I would think that there was something amiss with the test.

It isn't all about power and weight, well not always, it could be the ST's gearing is just best at achieving 0 to 60 times. Maybe it can be done in first, others might have to snick into second, third etc.
And anyhows, Honda rule.

A big Harley as quick as the ST1300? No way. ST1300 quicker than the FJR? Not likely.

Yeah, those results don't pass the smell test... something was fishy with the bikes, the riders or the measurement gear.

And weight distribution. I can attest personally. My HD, a different model, is marginally quicker to 50/60 than my ST. It has had nothing done to it to make it more powerful and has nowhere near the peak specs of the ST and certainly not an FJR. All of its torque can be laid to pavement without worrying about it squirting out from under you.
