ECM - repair / rebuild ????

I have carefully fondled and looked at my bad ECM. This sucker looks like it was poured togather. There is NO WAY TO OPEN IT, including sawing it open. It is just like circuitry in the middle of poured hard rubber. I suspect that whatever went bad in it is very very microscopic in size - resistor out of range, capacitor gone bad, IC behaving temperamentaly. Because of the way it is sealed, so is the conclusion. Will remain a mystery just like the disappearnce of the Aztecs, the location of Atlantis and what the 2011 Goldwing will look like.
