Double banjo bolt at master cylinder

My ST-Rider group-buy double front brake lines installed below/under the tab on the master cylinder reservoir without a problem, as for many others. Looks good. FWIW

John I have been battling with this problem on and off for a year now. 2000 ST 1100 non-ABS. It is the tug for my EXS side car rig. the problem started with my front brakes not releasing properly. I am not a mechanic and have little mechanical ability. I have literally spent thousands of dollars with motorcycle shops to fix this problem. I finally bit the bullet and tried to fix it myself. much to my dismay I found both calipers pistons not releasing. I rebuilt them and they seem to be working properly. I then could not get the master cylinder to bleed. After five rebuild kits oem and after market I gave up and bought a new OEM Honda Master cyclinder. I should mention I also installed Helibars. The latest problem is the two SS brake lines coming up to the new master cylinder. I put a crush washer between three spots on the bolt but the center one where the two brake lines meet leaks because of the shoulder on the banjo bolt does not protrude far enough leaving the crush washer to wobble. You mentioned something in one of you posts about two brake lines going directly to the master cylinder. would it be acceptable to put two brake line fiitings up against each other with out a crush washer? Sorry for running. on like this. Thanks, Tom

Tom, the short answer is no, even if you could guarantee near perfect surface to surface contact on each of the banjo faces, and this applies to nickel-plated steel, aluminum, and titanium banjoes and bolts.

Can you post a picture of this? Not sure how a crush washer can wobble unless it is contacting something else or too big for the banjo bolt.
Here are pics of my setup in case it helps

Seems that I remember this or similar happened with me. The aftermarket banjo bolt required a more careful lining up of one of the crush washers.
Make sure that your crush washers don’t have an out of center crush mark now.
