Don't care what you call it, its coffee day to me...

Yuck. A long, cold rain overnight. Almost an inch and only 33F/0.5C. But no ice or sleet or freezing rain like they were guessing. Useless twats. If only I could be that far off in my calcs yet still get paid... At least I have the choice to do so from home and not slog through all this.

Thanks for the joe! I'll take it wherever, and from whomever, will give it! Think I'll choose to WFH and keep my galoshes dry and my spirits high. Might get garage stuff done too, maybe paint some wheels if'n I can heat up the garage good enough. My little bazooka kerosene heater was the best $20 I ever spent. Cheap to run at $5 a gallon, and it heats up the space to 60F in 10 minutes. Nice & toasty....

Welp. better get a move on. Have a good day & take care y'all!

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.
And thanks for the back-up, @Obo.

It's 19f/-7c and snowing, going to 31/0c-ish with more snow predicted.
It should stop by late afternoon, and we're told to expect 3-5" of snow/ice.

My urologist appointment took all of 15 minutes, where we went over my PSA results. So far, so good. We scheduled my next visit, and she told me to expect to do another biopsy in about a year. Yay...
I hit the gym, afterward, for leg/core, and later in the day, took another walk.
I stopped over to the neighbor's to see if I could take their Golden Retriever, but they were out. Actually one of the ladies had left, as I contemplated my walk. I started my walk, then stopped and texted the other lady, asking if I could take her, and she replied, yes. I collected Mattie, and we had a nice 3+ mile walk.
Brenda's still getting the hang of the new appliances, and made an excellent beef stew.

Today, I'll probably head for the gym, and then watch the snow fall.
And snow-blow.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Morning all! It's dark and chilly out there; 0C/-5C. The high will be 2C which will likely disappear some of the snow still on the ground and we may see some sun late afternoon, otherwise it will be a cloudy day.

I'm back to work today, albeit from home, after the roller coaster ride of the past couple of days. My wife will likely remain in hospital at least over the weekend and apparently will not be permitted to weight bear for another couple of weeks. She was able to sit up on the side of the bed and even sort of, kind of, stood briefly on her good leg. It also looks like we may have scored a family doctor out of the deal, one of the residents who saw her is opening her own practice in July and told us to call the office in May and put our names on her list. It may not sound like much, but family doctors are scarce here and the number of people without doctors is quite high. We haven't been able to find one who is taking new patients in over 2 years since we moved.

Not sure what all the piss taking about toilets etc. is all about.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning All, what will today bring, have follow up phone call with family doctor at 11,if she is on time. Snowed a little bit last night maybe a inch. Which reminds me got to try the Mazda 2 in the snow, not good in snow. Old 87 Dodge Van much better, hard to beat a two ton vehicle.
Minus 4 outside ,high plus 2 Cloudy all morning may see some Sun later in the afternoon. Cheers G

Morning, again. I’m back for another cup, and it seems I’ve lost my pissy attitude that I had earlier. A 3:30 cup of coffee, washing down a dose of narcotics, eased my knee pain and I was able to sleep between 5 and 8. Perfect recipe for sleep…caffeine and hydrocodone.

"Remember your ABC...
Always Brew Coffee..."

G'Day sleepyheads...

1°/5°C today, gray overcast, doomsday sky in the morning, slight drizzle... the shamans can't agree if they'd issue a snow or a rain alarm, so they put out a precipitation warning...

GF pulled the usual morning procedure, of me having to wake/admonish her like 3 times, only to prompt with "...ooch... I don't wanna go to school, they're all stupid there..."
Yeah, she's back... ;) Already pretty lively last night, I diagnosed her fully fit, so off to work with her again...

Office, not much going on... one crew adding an indoor unit in the entrance area, hence some working noise besides the whir of the smart car sized laser copy/print/scanner out in the hallway...
One off them burned his Wurst Semmel to a smoldering black crisp in the break room, the stench is creeping through the whole place... :cautious:
Normally the boss's GF/secretary is the one living out her undisputed talented of creating burn victims... frequently... I mean like on daily bases...
I'm really amped to hide a smoke alarm as her personal "food timer" there... :ninja:

What's on the news-feed?
Well, the ASFINAG (that state owned/operated shell/onion corp running the Austrian motorways...) is intending to surprise travelers with a "journey through time"...

Back to medieval times that is, as they're intending to retrofit all rest areas with squat toilets... yep: a hole in ze floor...
They argue that with vandalism resistance and lower cleaning costs... and that the early Homo Erectus had a more natural, healthier pose while doing his business anyway...
Methinks they're talking :poop: and especially the female clientele will object... heavily... I mean what to wipe with now, leaves?
(don't push it, we already have a :poop:-police claiming the production of toilet paper is the factor in climate change... methinks they're all talking out their arse...)

Thank goodness are we motorcycle riders rarely using motorways to begin with...

Anyhow... hope your morning bowel movements where smooth and rich...

In that sense, enjoy your day!
I see ST1100Y is off to a good start today.

Morning all......
Thanks Martin for the go go juice.

Well I see this crowd is hovering at around the fifth grade level this morning.
Just a cold pissy way to start the morning. All this talk of dog flavored cheese and various ways of relieving ones self. Pretty much what I have come to expect from this crowd............ :well1: And to think that @Mellow has lowered himself to our level.......:spank1:

Back to weather....got 1/2" of snow and more to come Saturday. But next week looks nice for skiing......I hope.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled Thursday,
T

Morning Martin, Obo & All from sunny and another :wind1: day in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 51F, heading for 55F and the winds are blowing from the SSW @ 8 to 17mph and later, up to 43mph. Interesting that the winds we get here are different than what Cedar City gets. They will get winds into 50 mph and we'll see 30mph.

Yesterday, I was able to do more work on the tearing down of the 2006. Today, I hope to use my air assisted bleeder to pull out what brake fluid is left in the rear brakes and the also remove it out of the clutch, before removing the rear tire and drive shaft. I want to see if I can get the engine out without removing the swing arm. I might need to use the tractor to lift the frame up, to clear the engine. We'll see.

Boiled eggs, bacon, toast and OJ for the morning start. Pepsi(s) to come later. Yesterday I even grabbed a DR Pepper for a change. ;)

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Well, I’m back from getting stitches out, and I’m ready for another cup of coffee.

On the way home, I got my prescription filled, although the insurance balked at paying. Hopefully, this lasts through the summer. $119 for 5 gallons is hard to resist.
