That may be true, but even if you have to completely remove the right muffler, it will only require a few minutes. Unbolt the rear support (1 nut and bolt) and loosen the lower two clamp bolts, and the whole assembly will be off. It won't take three minutes to do all of that.

When someone mentions after market auto mufflers, this is what I think of. "Disturbing the Peace since 1968!" 
I like the black look. Has anyone painted the OEMs black? If so, do you have pics you can upload. I like the shape of the OEMs myself but wish they were black.
I only have about 500 miles on the bike, so I really can't say about the performance versus OEM. My two tanks of fuel have averaged 46.1 mpg with mostly highway riding. I hope it improves with more break-in miles.
This is my first ST so I really don't have anything to compare this bike with. I do see lower heat from the mufflers and I like the sound. I'm hsppy with the slip-ons.

I have about 580 miles on the system now, and I have had no issues. The paint has held up flawlessly, and I "think" the sound has settled in to be consistent as the mufflers have broken in. The bike runs great with no flat spots that I can find. I hope this helps. Take care.
I thought I did, There off a 2007 GSXR 1000...
They have a almost nice stock mellow sound, Until you whack the throttle
Then they come alive, Deep sound,
I now have a flat spot at about 3000 RPM, I will have to call Turbo Tom....

Any issues arise with additional miles ? I have talked to a local exhaust shop and they are ready to make me some pipes.
