Coolant Low, No Leak?

E P I L O G U E

This weekend, Rich and I finished the full re-assembly of the ST. Took it for a ride, and it runs like it just came off the showroom floor. The engine used to surge... not any more. The engine used to tick... not any more. It just purrrs.

The coolant leak was the result of the hose clamps leading to the T-Stat. I did not lift the tank to tighten the final hoses underneath, but just wrenching the ones accessible behind the radiator fixed the coolant leak (so far). The weep-hole was not the problem.

The oil leak was the result of a seal-gone-bad around the oil-pan. Removed, cleaned, and re-sealed and the leak is gone.

The break-thumping was a result of a scored brake piston. Removed the caliper, cleaned it, and put in the new piston. Smooth as butter now.

Additional work: Hondaline heated grips, handlebar powerlet, cigarette powerlet in right fairing pocket, Silverstar headlight bulbs, PIAA 004XT fork lights, Fuzeblock installed and ready for farkle additions.

I really have to give Rich a big thanks for all his work on this. I never would've been able to do this stuff. :bow1:
