Coolant Leak from Reservoir Overflow/Breather Pipe

Pressurized the tank to check for leak but it`s good. I ran a clear line with the side panel off and can watch it as it starts to fill the reserve tank and the overflow as it occurs.

No there is not, I just pulled the Rad and will have it flow checked to see if it`s plugged.

Did you wait and see if the coolant returned as the engine cooled, Everett? If it doesn't, the system is not sealed. Vacuum has been lost -- air is entering somewhere, the most common place being a cracked expansion tank hose at the thermostat housing nipple.

BTW, what colo(u)r is your classic '91?

It`s strange, one time overnight all went back to the rad, then three other times it stayed at the level at shutdown. I`ll check again for leaks John. (I put on a new house and sealed the nipple at the housing). I`m still waiting for a report from the Rad shop. I`ll let you know. Thanks

Well the rad shop called and they said the rad is good. I guess I'll do a compression leak test next. errrrrrrrrrr
Compression leak test done and no fault found. Cylinder leakdown test done, nothing notable. Head gaskets replaced. valve clearance rechecked. Three rad caps last one OEM no change. Two new thermostats no change . New overflow tank line.
Completely confused.
Sorry John it's black.
