I bought a multi set in 2009 and had not used them except for a couple times. I charged them today and tried to get music from my Droid maxx to play music via blue tooth through the speakers but I cant seem to make it work. The calls work but I only get music from the phone if I connect the MP3 cord. is this system supposed to receive music via BT or just by cord via MP3 jack? If not will the new SENA 20S system have this feature? I don't want to use wires if I don't have too.

The Q2 only supports the Bluetooth headset protocol, so you're stuck with a cord if you want to listen to music.
The Q2 Pro does support the A2DP profile but I've had problems switching between the two profiles in combination with my Samsung Galaxy S phone where I had to power cycle the headset before it would switch back to audio after finishing a call.
when playing music from my GPS this doesn't happen.

I have the same Q2 set and it's the earlier version of Bluetooth and is not A2DP. It will pair with the phone and make and receive calls but you can't listen to music. The newer versions do. I run my gps, MP3 player and radar detector through an Amplirider amp and that's plugged into the helmet. Up until this year, I didn't have a smart phone so it wasn't an issue.

Now I have a smart phone and a bluetooth GPS.....

Well thanks for clearing that up. I'm not interested in making or receiving calls but would
like to listen to music, preferably XM. Guess I will be getting a sena 20s when they come out. Maybe I will just keep these for back up for friends and family. I don't have a gps either but was thinking about the zumo 665

Right now I have the Cardo G4 and ride on a Honda 08 silver wing 600 cc scooter.
As of next week if all goes well, I will be the proud owner of a 02 1100 with only 40,000 miles and looks new, with all the recipes, up dated-ed Clear View windshield and an up dated seat.
Best part is this guy is my size and weight so it fits like a glove, and only $ 4500.00

Any way, while on my scooter I use my Cardo G4 Blue toothed to my smart phone and a used, i-pod, from Ebay with 1500 songs, many free, from my library but my GPS is from Costco and only cost I believe around $ 125,00 that does not have that feature, which is OK because if I turn down the music, and GPS is turned up to loud, I can hear just fine, and does not cost hundreds more than a (motorcycle) GPS only because it is not water proof or shock proof?
I do use ear plugs and a modular helmet from HTC, I bought from LeatherUp.com for $ 180.00 which is much better, as far as air circulation in the summer but a little more wind noise, than my two the more expensive ones

When the Sena 20's are available the 10's will be selling like hot cakes CHEAP. I'd wait if you can for a great deal on a 10. Their great units.
