Bestem TopBox installed on an 07 ST... with pics!

Yup, theres simply NO WAY I could justify the expense of a pan-euro box. Luckily it was easy to justify 1/10 of that cost :).

Gotta say I L O V E it!
I got my bestem top box this spring and have been using it daily ever since. I packed it and I over packed it. I throw my stuff in there for my commute to and from work and I bungeed stuff to the top of it with the bungee buddy rings I installed on the top on my Lake Superior Circle tour last week.
It's holding up fine and I've allready got my $80 worth out of it if it were to fall apart tomorrow. It shows no sign of doing so how ever and I think it's the best deal out there.
Yeah, it looks good but I just couldn't justify spending almost a $grand$ on the honda line box.

DITTO, love my bestem box, I had planned to have it off most of the time. Looks so good and works so well I have left it on.

Got mine installed completely today with the lights. If anyone is wondering you have to use the two outside green wires that go into your taillight. Has anyone played around with brighter LED'S, they work I would just like much brighter ones for stopping, geez you would think for $79.99 they could have HID brake lights come on. Ha! I also got to test it in the rain today unfortunately, it remained tight as a drum no leaks, I also noticed having a topbox reduces the amount of back pressure from behind.

I have a 929 on my 13 and couldn't be happer, only wished they would have used the same mounting plate so you could go from the 46 to the nice looking 36 when you don't need the capacity:D

And speaking of reliability of construction, anyone see the box that was on Brad Felmay's ST1100? it survived the service road to Prudhoe Bay that destroyed his wheels:eek:4:

Just installed Bestem topbox an hour ago. The silver is a close match to my 07 and it looks great. I needed to put a large nut and washer between the rack the two bolts at the seat end to act as spacers. I used blue loctite instead of the lockwashers provided. Had some black touch up paint for stone chips and painted the bolt heads to match the base. When time permits they will be changed to stainless with nylock nuts. The backrest is somewhat lame but it will offer some feeling of comfort and security. Wiring will come later. Overall .....best bang for the $$$$$$.

Just installed my Bestem TopBox last night. I went to Lowes and purchased all stainless steel bolts, nuts, and large 2" washers for $13. In addition they also had 2 nylon spacers that fit perfectly between the front two bolts and the rack. I believe the space is 3/8 of an inch. Everyone should use a spacer to take the pressure off the plastic TopBox mounting plate. I also loosened the tail light lens assembly and was able to route the wires inside the fender and out of sight. This is a great deal for $80!

Funny thing is I ordered the Bestem box in SILVER also for my 07 and the guy that I spoke to (Will or William) still sent me a BLACK one. I am not sure what to do since the shipping probably won't be worth sending it back and he does not answer my emails (but then it is Saturday).
