• Start with a City beginning with A
    • This is BY STATE
    • Similar to the Tag contest, there will be one thread per state
    • Post a picture of your bike AND some sign, building etc which clearly shows the city/state you're in
    • The next person posts from a city with the name beginning with B, then C, D, etc
    • You can't posts back-to-back pics, you have to wait for a person to post the next city
    • Once Z is reached, the game starts over with A
    • If your state doesn't have a city beginning with the next letter in sequence, it's okay to skip that letter
    • If the location sits for more than one month, the person that posted that is open to move it to the next letter.

The World Wide game is a bit different as it is by whatever is considered a geographic type of regional category, state/province/village etc. and all those will be in the single World Wide A-Z topic.

AR: A to Z (Round 4)

10 months... so is anybody going to get a town, village, or community whose name starts with the letter E?

I hope to visit Arkansas this spring or summer I noticed there are a number of places that start with the letter E.

Etowah, Elm Store, Egypt, Evening Shade, Evening Star, Elizabeth, Enola, Earl,
East End, El Dorado, Emmet, Eros, Everton, Elkins, Elgin, Elm Springs, England, Eudora, and Eureka Springs!
I did the whole state in 1 day. It's a fun exercise in planning, mapping, and executing. I have done all the letters in 1 day in the following states: TX, OK, AR, LA, & MS. I have a few other states mapped but have not found the time to ride them.

Ah, but the real challenge would to be to ride them in proper alphabetical order!

I have looked at that but do not think it's doable in a 24 hr period. It's hard to get all the letters in under 500 miles in most states and that's random order. I try to keep it in under 500 miles so I can do all the photos in the daylight.

I've got a route in Tennessee that's right at 465 miles - but I haven't run it yet. ;)
It takes a tremendous amount of planning and Google Earthing to see if there is anything in the 'community' that has the name on it.

Yup, been there done that. Then you find a town or village With the correct letter and absolutely nothing in town with a name on it, drive there after mapping a different town only to find a sign.
That's why we ride though, more about the adventure than the destination.

That's where Google Earth is your friend if you are looking for 'signs'. ;)
Plenty of 'named' communities have no signage at all.
At the one place in Tennessee that starts with 'X' there is nothing anywhere near with any names.
