Anyone else here play Wordle?

FYI, I wasn't aware that in Settings you can set the game to "hard" mode until one of my adult kids pointed that out. In hard mode you have to use any letters you have discovered in subsequent guesses. Most people do that anyway. The only difference it makes is when you have a puzzle solved except for one letter and there are many possibilities.

For example, if the solution was RIGHT and you had the last four letters IGHT solved, there would still be a lot of possibilities. SIGHT, NIGHT, MIGHT, FIGHT, LIGHT, TIGHT. In regular mode you could use a guess with a word like SNARL and knock out three or four possibilities in one guess. In hard mode you have to use the IGHT in every guess with only one of the possibilities. There is a good chance you run out guesses before you get the RIGHT one!

When you post results, I think an astrix indicates the hard mode.

I was playing in hard mode before I knew it was a thing, then I switched it to hard mode. I was trying figure out why I had an asterisk on my results, now I know. :p
