All motorcycle oil filter cross reference chart

Yeah, that is an excellent xref. I've used it a number of times over the years.

One thing I just noticed in scanning it ... it does not have any bikes listed later than 2007 model year. So I wonder if any of the filter information has been updated since then.
:shrug1:

Didn't even notice that. The bike I was looking for was built in 1991 so I was a long ways away from 2008!

Someone spent a great deal of time putting that together.

There's a link there on how to break in your new motorcycle engine that will really get you thinking. Lots and lots of great info on the Calsci site. They've done an awesome job.

I've read that article before. Very interesting (and logical) way of thinking. I had a friend break in his VFR via the instructions in that article. 60k later, he's still screaming through the corners.

I must have missed this one when it was posted.... I'll sticky it now so it's easier to find, very good stuff!

Anyone have a reference to which filters will work on the STs by what kind of car they also work on?

Go to any auto parts store in the filter section, and they all have that reference book, but it's sorted by cars. I'd like to know what car uses a similar enough filter to my 1100 to find a filter that way.

Eh, nevermind, with the manufacturer part numbers, I can skip the book and grab the filter.

I don't know of a reference like that. I just use the list of automotive filters there in section 5... My 2003 Nissan Maxima takes the same oil filter, so I don't even bother with the books anymore :)
