All Hallows Day - Oct 31

Morning Nick (& Welcome back) & All from a mostly clear morning in Southern Utah!

No Sun yet, the current temp is 35F, up from a low of 32F, and expecting a high of 55F. A slight breeze now, and later, we should see the winds from the SSW @ 15 to 30mph, just in time for the Trick or Treaters.

Other feeding the birds, nothing else going on yesterday. I might make it out later this morning, we'll see. Our neighborhood is having a "Trunk or Treat" down the main street of the track, so Chris and I will go and hand out stuff to help the kiddies get cavities. :sneaky-2x:

Chris is still asleep, so no food/drink yet.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads :hat3:

Good morning, everyone. Thanks for the Pyramid scheme coffee, Nick. Good to have you back with us.

It’s still unseasonably warm. Waking up to 66 degrees on Halloween, is just crazy. I remember past years of kids trick-or-treating in parkas. High of 77, with chance (fat chance) of rain this evening.

The IRS called. Did that scare you?

I went to visit the daughter and family last evening and was surprised by how much better the grandson is, at playing piano.

John

Thats so cool! He's great

Morning all! Such much busyness this morning already. Still darkish here a bit but there appear to be grey clouds overhead and the weather network says it's 6C which feels like 4C. Feels like an inside day to me. We'll get some rain in a bit and then maybe a bit of sun in the afternoon which would be great for taking the dogs for a walk. The pup gets a tad rambunctious if he doesn't get a run at the park.

Obo, it's great to see you come out of your shell like that. I scrambled to find a responding pun but no luck. Nashcat, very talented youngster, can fame and fortune be far behind?

Not sure how Halloween is going to go tonight. The house will be all dark and I don't really want people traipsing through the carport to get to the suite at the back. Not that they could do so easily with it being filled with assorted saws, concrete mixer, construction materials and a large motorcycle. I may have to pull up a lawn chair in front of the garage with a bowl. We don't tend to get that many trick or treaters anyway, typically just the two houses on our cul de sac that have kids. I should just rock up to their houses with the candy. I bought two big boxes yesterday despite the past years evidence of lack of visitors. Not the wisest move as the leftovers will go to waist, generally mine. I might just take the leftovers to work and share the magic.

Hope everyone has a great day and enjoys a bar or two.....of chocolate!

I'm loving that many of the parents escorting their kids are also in costume, some of them quite elaborate. No candy for them, just a smile and a thumbs-up

There was a whole article about this, and how the parents were upstaging the children and setting unrealistic expectations for the kids on what costumes and societal expectations and normalcy is.
