27th! Can't be? We best drink some good Italian bean juice and figure out where January went to.
On that note, where did the last 80 years go to. We're going to need more bean juice.
80 years? Although I wasn't alive for all of them!
The weather, it's OK'ISH in a January above the 55th parallel sort of way. Dry, bright, still and OK'ISH. Storm some'at or t'other is around apparently but it isn't around here, yet!
What will the day bring, when will the chores run out, when will I be allowed to drink beer all day. Will I ever cruise on a river? Again.
After just one more coffee, I'll get off my fat arris and do some'at. Maybe.
Av a gud un and remember, results are underrated. And remember!
Upt.

Yep, it’s the 27th. Only 331 days before Christmas, but who’s counting?

Thanks Ray, and a good morning to everyone. Dark and rainy 36 degrees, but should turn sunny and 47 by mid morning.

Physical therapist is coming today, so Teddy will get some exercising. He likes to chase them around a bit, before he lets them in the house.

John

"Congratulations, you made it out of bed!
Let's have coffee to celebrate your achievement."

Zis morning's (Italian) Capriccio had amazing crema again, dunno how the small machine makes it...
Ain't doing anything special, some sugar, two capsules into the cup, add a zip of 3.5% milk... and the foam sits there like in a professional Cappuccino from an Italian place... <slurp> :coffee:

Sure, the instant office sludge is nothing in comparison, but its hot, and still kinda tasty... :coffee:

4°/9°C today, quite foggy in ze morning, now only partially cloudy... damp, weird day though...

Yesterday's NT session went well, wiring, fuse and relay for the latte launcher horns done, GF wax-polished all painted fairing parts, even removed the glass over the instrument cluster to deal with the fine dust deposit inside (the thing has no foam seal like on the ST1100...)
Hope the inboard panniers arrive this week, so I can finish the thing next w/e...

With the temps above freezing ze she seems keen to get back on her motorsickle, whilst I'm wondering if we get massive snow over Easter again...

enjoy!

Morning Ray, thanks for the coffee invite. Second Nescafe just going down after our morning walk. After another night of very heavy rain the sun is now out albeit with an increasingly gusty wind. Garden once again has turned into an olympic swimming pool. We are supposed to be having some new fence panels, posts and concrete supports installed on Wednesday (they didn't survive the last but one storm) but I suspect the ground may be too soft, we shall see.

Today is really exciting (not!). Got to check the car over before it's trip to Norway on Thursday then practice putting the snow chains on, that's always fun, better to do it in the sun rather than in the middle of a blizzard  I have proper winter tyres fitted, so in theory won't need to use chains (never have in 25 years of ski trips), but I carry them just in case!

After that, got to fit rubber seals to the door of my newly built bicycle shed. I really impressed myself managing to put it together..... it's still standing 5 days later :roflmao:

good morning all. thank you Ray for the coffee. Italian Roast works for me. 42F on the dog walk with some stars out to show off their brightness with a clear sky. not much to say about the clouds. only a few showed up.
have gym class this morning. so there goes the morning, I guess it's for a good thing. Like maybe my health so I shouldn't complain. the high should be 59F
enjoy the day

stay safe

Thank you Ray. We have clouds and rain starting in a few minutes. It's 47° and going to a high of 56°. Monday is laundry day, so that will start after my walk. Womantriker is going to have a gel injection in her right knee later this morning, hopefully that will give her some relief until she gets her replacement in March. Ciao.

I've always liked the "bite" that Italian roast and espresso coffees have. It's odd, though, that the darker roasts tend to have less caffeine than lighter roasts. Maybe that's why Breakfast Blends tend to be lighter than ones for later in the day.
Oh yes, let's all rejoice in the newborn fact that coffee in the morning is actually good for our health.
Cheers!

Good morning all and thanks for the Italian Dark Roast Ray, It's our favorite (me and the Guzzis). We seem to start better on it! I've been waiting for coffee since 1am seems the old Doberman has been trying to monopolize the bed. Morning couldn't get here fast enough to unpretzel my body.

Another no weather day here in FL mid 40s to upper 60s. Think I'll be headed home to the frozen tundra to stay at the end of the week.

Enjoy the day all remember be safe out there.

Good morning, all, and thanks for the coffee, Ray!

It's -5°C/23°F with a feels-like of -11°C/12°F and partially clear this morning (I can't corroborate that - still too dark out), but the clouds will take over and it will snow from around midday through to tomorrow. The temp will rise until it tops out at -1°C/30°F, but the windchill won't change. We're also under a "damaging winds and snow squall" risk today. Charming.

Everyone have a good one, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Ray.

It's sunny and 20 in MA this morning, rising to 36 with 10-20 mph winds.

Yesterday's visit from the kids and Elouise went well.
Elouise tested everyone's stamana, and didn't stop until she and her parents left a little before 8:00pm. She ran everywhere!
...and so did we, since the house isn't baby-proofed.
She's all into buttons, so the recliner went up and down off and on all day. She also tested the DVD tray on the player, much like Bose must have, years ago.
Since the kids were visiting, we had to have pizza for lunch at our favorite pizza place, and Chinese from our favorite Chinese place.

Today, I'll try a gym visit, and Brenda will visit the laundromat.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Good morning all!
Thanks for the hot start Ray!
I believe , like you, most of us have quite a few trips around the sun!
Quite a number of mine weren’t smooth or easy!
If I listened, perhaps it might have been much easier!
52/75 a lovely sunny morning!

Enjoy your Monday!

Rained all night, which means temps have warmed and it won't snow again. Watching folk cross country ski on the beaches of the Gulf of America is something I've never seen before.

Don't get used to it, people.

We'll get to almost 60 tomorrow -- that's more like it.

Just dropped by for this quick report -- y'all can call off the search and rescue teams, and sorry, there's no reward if they find me.

Off to work, enjoy the day.

Good mornin Ray, and I will enjoy a cup o that Italian coffee, while its still dark outside. 15°F climbing to 39 before it cycles again.
Woke up about 0430 local time and couldn't get back to sleep, so out to the living room, cup of warm water and peruse the coffee thread. i will have that cup of dark roast now that I can see the pot thru the blur.
Off across the state Wed for a meeting that will keep me over there to the following Thurs. A bit warmer in that area, so being the optomistic sort, I believe I will stow my golf clubs in the trunk, just in case. Here's to hoping!
Have a good 'un as Ray would say...

Morning all! It's a bright sunny day out there but a bit chilly at -1C. The predicted high is for 7C and sun most of the day.

I drove the car today as I started swimming again with a Masters group. I can honestly say that I am, currently, not full of crap because all the crap got kicked out of me at the pool. I know it will get better/easier but holy jumpin' that first bit of trying to get back into shape....well change my shape.... from round to.....less round, is never fun. Something something cardiovascular health yadda yadda.....

Got into work to discover that someone has sent follow up questions regarding the noise issue. I hate follow up questions. Means I have to go re-read everything that I had previously read in order to re-learn it and try to provide a semi-coherent response. Makes me see red.....

Hope everyone has a great day and gets read in!

Hello all and grazi for the joe-o Italiano, Ray-o! 26/-3 when my feet hit the floor and going to rise up to 50 here in SoMD...it's a heatwave! Too bad it's a workday but WFH gives me some leeway to venture outside at least, so I should propbably make myself presentable.

Turned the telescope up to see the planets the other day with the neighbors. I love them but they're not so bright when it comes to astronomy. Wasn't easy continuing to correct them whenever they said something that was less than utterly ridiculous, like how the planets weren't as bright because all the others were shining brighter...oh boy. The best was their sister who bought a telescope just for this and was disappointed that such a tiny scope wouldn't let them see any detail, just points of light....the whole thing was barely a foot long honey, it ain't Hubble. But i did sight in Venus, Jupiter (+3 moons), and Mars for them, and we had a good time until the cold got to our hands too much to be gentle with the scope. Until next time, take care y'all!

Morning Ray & All from overcast and cold, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 25F, up from 19F and heading for 37F. That overcast reminds me of living in SoCal with the Marine Layer. I don't miss that Marine Layer, one bit! No breeze at all right now, later the winds will be out of the N @ 10 to 13mph. They promised us rain/snow, but that seems to be heading into Arizona and will miss us on the most part. We could use some rain.

Not much going on. I bought a 5TB HDD to set up for backups. I'll try to get that set up today. Copying and pasting takes too long, so I need a better way to back up my files! ;)

Eggs, bacon, toast & OJ to start the morning. Pepsi(s) later.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:
