98 ST1100 carbs rebuilt need help routing choke cable - don't laugh!

Hi, I'm at the point of trying to get my carbs off, and I just looked at the choke cable. I just runs from the handlebar right back along the frame. Is it possibl;e you have the choke lever in the choke position which would make it appear the cable isn't long enough?
I want to remove my carbs to clean them after 25 years not running, and I cannot see how in the world I'm ever going to reach the forward boot clamps to loosen them. The manual doesn't say much about it. Can you advise me? thanks, Gerald in Atlanta
I figured my choke out the little bracket was on there. On those boot screws you just need to hope the screw heads are clocked right to get at them. You’ll need a couple good lights and just 12” Phillips #2 screwdriver that’s sharp and new. They’re hard to see and find. There is a video on YouTube by a guy who details carb removal with good pics. Just be careful the screws are soft and don’t wanna strip them. I’ll try to find that but just do a search on YouTube it’s lengthy and detailed done by a Brit. They’re a booger to get at and you just have to figure out the right angle to get the driver in there. Again, lots of light natural light is best course if you have it.
