Nice, the rectangle in the center is the wear indicator, once it’s gone no more electrons.. maybe 60-65% wear.. the new one should last the life of the bike!

Looking at this I estimate a lifetime of 125,000miles...100,000 mile brushes vs. new.
(so applies to the 40A ST1100 alternators as well... using the same P/N BTW...)
