I have seen this a few times in Google Street View and have wondered if they travel in pairs when they are surveying- I have never seen a Google car on the road in person.

I had one pull into my yard one day. I was selling items on Kijiji and when the person came to purchase them he was the lone driver of a Google car. We got a quick tour and snapped some photos. He was from Ontario and went where they told him on stints. You'd think they'd do an area in depth and keep moving onward but he said he'd come do a certain area, head back to Ontario, come back to another area later either close by or far away and so on.

That was unbridled enthusiasm. And throw in some naivety. If I can get some pictures of the construction I went through, that’s what sobered me up.
All in all it’s been fantastic and knowing you guys are cheering me on helps a lot. Thank you.

I have some nice scenery picts on the camera too.

Same wash for both of my trips and . . . when you get home, no worries, there might still be some alkali hidden away on your bike to remind you of your great adventure as you clean away. :biggrin:

Glad to see you’re back in civilization (well, sort of haha). Looking forward to seeing a few more pics. Yes, you’ll be cleaning that muck out of your bike for a few years, as Shuey said. I did anyway.
I did a trip to Yellowknife NWT in the 80’s on a Suzuki GS1000. Had to carry gas, had to take a ferry, and it was raining. Never did get all that alkali out. Did it again a couple years ago on my st, ibr1000, easy when it’s dry. But those frost heaves are wild, aren’t they?

Plenty of power bwahahahahah. I can't even imagine. Then again, my first street bike was an Italian 50cc 2 stroke 3 speed that I put 10,000 miles on when I was 15/16 lol. I never knew it lacked power until I rode my sister's CB 160 whoa. So, I bought one of those. Then I got a 305 Scrambler big whoa! Then a 450, a 750, a 1000cc. Eventually a couple of 1300cc 125- 150 hp bikes.

Now, at 73, I'm riding a "seemingly gutless" NC 750 lol. Can't imagine riding a 50cc anywhere.

I was going to ask about a shimmy in the front again. :rofl1: A good wash and she is is smooth again.
