A used ST1100 with almost 100k kilometers that is now 26 - 27 years old but never driven in winter with salt on the roads, the original exhaust can it be used for a few more years …

If it has no holes, no reason not to.
I don't replace mine until they break or get a bad hole.
Best replacement (when it comes to it) is stainless steel Delkevic -

They fit perfectly and are of excellent quality.
I have used them to replace the exhaust headers on all 4 of my ST1100s when they did fail.
On the ST1100, mine usually failed on the right collector.
It is shaped like a cupped hand facing upward so it collects water and over time it eventually rusts out.

You use Delkevic's headers with original Honda rear mufflers …
Yes - the original silencers fit on to the Delkevic's headers perfectly.
Everything lines up with the replacement headers just like the OEM system but the Delkevics are all stainless steel - including the clamps.
I did replace the bolts that attach the exhaust heat shields to the headers with new socket head stainless steel bolts while I was at it. ;)

Do you know if the same is true for ST1300?
