Arches was my first natl pk on my first tour. I had never seen things like that in boston!Have you done Arches NP? It is beautiful.
No way they're paving the whole thing. If you're any place near 12 you just gotta do it. My favorite rode in the U.S. not the most technical but just beautiful and fun.
I have to say, rt12 is up with zion and brice during the week, beartooth and the Mojave. My fave rides! Ill remember today forever!
It was great meeting you! I believe the filters have paper in ards. Maybe you got some watery gas? That bike will run foreverHey this is Carl. Son and I ran into you in Ouray. We waited for 550 to open. Headed to Silverton and ST died. Got it started by shaking the fuel filter that was replaced last year and decided to head back to Grand Junction. Bike died a couple more times. Finally I rode it to Montrose without a seat one handed while jiggling the fuel filter with the other.
Put the seat on and it ran ok the rest way home.
With a new Honda fuel filter we rode a couple hundred miles today up to Rangely, Rifle, Debeque and home. Fuel filter was coming apart internally. Pulled the carbs off this afternoon, #4 cylinder running rich.
Wish you safe travels!

For Arches you need a reservation but better make them 6 month in advance. Natural bridges is first come first serve. There are a lot of campsite along the Colorado River on both sides of 191 ( Moab) but they fill up fast.I heard you have to make reservations ahead of time now, can't just show up. Yea, its pretty busy here in moab. I cant believe its a monday. Im debating a ride back to green river for a motel or a risk south for camping on 191. Looks like a fairly warm nightFor Arches you need a reservation but better make them 6 month in advance. Natural bridges is first come first serve. Devils Garden Campground
Devils Garden Campground is the only campground at Arches National Park. You can reserve campsites for nights between March 1 and October 31. During this busy season, the campground is usually full every night. If you're arriving at Arches without a reservation, you'll probably have to look for a campsite outside the park. Between November and February, campsites are first-come, first-served.
