I am looking at getting a tank bag for my 07 1300 and considering the Cortech Super 2.0 12 Litre Magnetic Tank Bag . Primarily use is to hold water bottles, gloves, sunglasses and map/route sheets (just in case my GPS lies to me!)
Do any members have this one? I would appreciate any feedback
Thanks
Dave

I used a Cortec Super 2.0 magnetic and it's predecessor the Super Mini for tens of thousands or miles on my ST13 and BMW R100. I preferred the larger map pocket of earlier designs but overall Cortech is well made stuff and holds up well. Just like you I used it for man-purse objects when traveling. If you are careful to pack a small piece of terry towel or a microfiber and always wipe off the gas tank when placing the bag on the tank the soft tacky material on the underside of that bag won't scratch or scuff the paint.

I don't think I have that particular bag, but I use either a Tourmaster, Cortech or Nelson Rigg magnetic tank bag on every ride depending on what I want to carry along. 12 liters is a good size for the items you mentioned. Don't forget to add an energy bar to go along with your water bottle. I also carry a small spray mister full of water and a cloth for cleaning my faceshield/glasses and a flat puck for putting under the side stand in mine. Oh and a pen and a small spiral notepad (works better than my memory lol).

I've used the Cortech in the past and it worked fine. As posted, the map pocket used to be larger. Otherwise, it's a good tank bag.

I've got that bag in the strap on version. I like it a lot. It repeals a bit of water in the rain but wish it were more water resistant. I don't bother with the rain cover and don't keep anything sensitive to water in it. Be sure to make or buy a horn button protector. If not it WILL blow the horn and scare the crap outta ya.

I have a Cortech Super 2.0 12 Litre Magnetic Bag that I had on my ST1300 for 2 years. It is in excellent condition if you are interested. I originally had the Cortech mini on my bike for years and it performed flawlessly, bought the aforementioned and near doubled the capacity and performed equally. I sold my ST and bought the new GW so I have no use for it.

If you are interested PM me.IMG_6009.JPGIMG_6010.JPG

I bought a Givi Tanklock for my new FJR and honestly, I prefer the old magnetic bags which actually conform to the shape of the tank. I really don't find the tanklock any more convenient for gas refills, pull a lever and wiggle, or lift the magnetic flaps. 1/2 doz of one 6 of another.
