Helmets HJC IS-MAX BT - which Bluetooth device to use?

I have an HJC helmet that's starting to show its age. I've been reading the various reviews on helmets, and am thinking I might go with another HJC, but I want the Bluetooth feature. HJC"s site says it's Chatterbox ready, but the one they recommend (XBI2H PLUS) is getting pretty bad reviews. Anyone have any experience with this helmet, and what BT do you use with it?

This is just to tide me over until I can get an AR1, of course.

I have that very helmet and I use a Sena10. It just clears the hinge and boom mike reaches perfectly to my lips. The speakers fit great in the recesses.

I went looking for info on the Sena 10 and came across the 10c - integrated communications and HD camera. One of those things I think I will never use but just have to own... Hmmmmmm....

From what I can see, does the helmet have to be "Bluetooth ready" to use something like the Sena? The Schuberth has an integrated antenna, does that work with anything other than their SRC system?

Need to locate a local helmet dealer in the Upper Valley (NH/VT) area. Not sure I trust sizing charts. I have a weird head.

Helmet does not need to be "Bluetooth ready". The Sena attaches to outside of the lower rim of just about any 3/4, full and/or modular helmet. The Sena 10 lets you talk to up to 3 other riders. It will hook up wirelessly to Bluetooth devices and you can hardware to non Bluetooth units. I have had mine about 18 months wit no issues. I can about 10 hours of music per charge.

I've used an Interphone F5 and now I have a Sena SMH-10 I use for phone calls and radio.
I got two helmet kits so it's in both a Shoei NeoTech and an RF1100. The Interphone seemed like quite a device
until I wore it out, (2 1/2 years) I couldn't find anyone from Interphone to respond to emails, and no phone numbers.
So I bought the Sena from RevZilla, it's great. Easier to use than the Interphone, better reception, better speakers.
Both Shoei's have plenty of room for the speakers.
The NeoTech has a boom mic and the RF1100 uses a little foam covered mic that I velcro'ed to the inside of the face-bar.

I use the Uclear HBC 200 Force unit for my wife and I. Crystal clear. No external micophone to get in the way, just the two ear speakers with the micophone transmitters. It works excellent. Excellent sound quality. Loud and clear. I have had many conversations with friends and co-workers while riding at speed and never had difficulty hearing them or them me. I have not linked with other makes, so I cannot comment on that aspect of the unit, but apparently it will do it.
