Terry 'ACL' Hammond (11/19/2010)

Here are some links I forgot I had until today.

This is Terry doing one of the things he loved best.

Enjoy.

Wow. This was a ton of bricks to be hit with after a long hiatus from the forum.
RIP Terry.
Prayers for his family.

Thanks for posting that track, that was very good and Terry could really sing too!

I just opened the lastest issue of Rider. It had been here a few days before I had the chance. All I can say is that I am shocked and saddened. Hard to believe and like so many others have said, no it just can't be. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I had the pleasure of meeting him briefly... a legend.

Enjoy.

Any hints on how to get those links to work. Tried copying and pasting, but no luck. A Youtube search for Moonshine gave me lots of videos on making homemade likker.

Thanks

Fred,

I cut and pasted: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMfoDhLwsnM&NR=1"]YouTube - Moonshine 2010 087.AVI
and it worked fine for me.

My god, not Terry. Can somebody point me top thread about it,can't find anything. Ride on Terry, ride on friend.

I just caught-up with this news of Terry's passing. What a fine gentleman he was.

A couple of Moonshines ago, I stayed at Terry's farmhouse with a few of you, shortly after his mother's passing. Having also lost my mother just before then, we spoke of life and death, and how health can shift from vibrant to dire in the blink of an eye. For his sake and that of his family, I hope Terry's passing was quick and painless.

Terry Hammond is a man to remember. I'm sure he'll come to mind whenever I start my engine for a long ride.

Thanks for posting that Peter. We had a great time on the tractor that day. Terry laughed when I told him the largest tractor I'd ever operated was a John Deere 430. Needless to say, Terry's tractor made a good bit more power:

I too just read the lastest issue of "Rider" magazine in total dis-belief. somehow I managed to miss the posts of ACL's passing. Although I never met Terry, I along with others will greatly miss his witty humor and helpful posts on this site. My heartfelt condolances go out to his family and friends as we have all lost a great man and a brother of the road.
God speed Terry.

I feel awful. I've been away from the forum, had a very busy job last summer and didn't ride much at all. Just decided to login and see what weekend MLR was and I saw the memorial stickers. I'm shocked. I've met Terry at a few MLRs, had a burger with him at Moonshine a few summers ago on my way thru town, and am heartbroken that I missed this. I considered him a friend, and I'm saddened that I missed his services. I'm not sure how to honer him properly, but I'll do my best.

Tim
