TN: Tag

Here's the old. This was too easy.

Here's the new. I had to change bikes, but I still rode to the tag.

Wow, I can't believe you picked it up and didn't stop to say howdy and have a glass of sweet tea. We live 6/10 mile down the road, in the direction that you took the pic.

I didn't know that was part of the tag otherwise I certain would have! Staying in Franklin tonight... headed... "that way" tomorrow. At least you can go move this tag now. :)

I was wondering how he would have known that??

I don't guess he would have known, but looking at the bike(scooter) in the pic, should have been a clue that I lived pretty close. :D I mean, how far can you ride on a Chinese 150cc scooter? I usually don't ride it too far past the end of the driveway, although it is easy to push back to the garage.

nerSTeve, how did you like the roads, passing through the "neighborhood"?

They were fun! I met up with an OLD friend in Franklin from my Honda Shadow/ VTX days. Lot that area. He lives about 6 or 7 houses from the old police car.

I've had the old one for a few weeks, but finally got to pick up a new one on the way back from the RTE in Blairsville, GA. It's at a recreational area on 64, east of Ocoee Lake, near where Big Creek intersects.

I was wondering when this would get moved. It only took 6 months. I know the new location, but won't be over that way any time soon.

I'm the same way about GA's tag and NC's tag. Seems to only get moved by folks traveling through. I wish it were more active. I have been researching neighboring states for their tags.

I had planned to move those as well. I think it was GA, NC, TN and AL only added like 1.5hrs to the most direct route to stagecoach. I couldn't believe how lined up they were. We have some pretty active tags in the Northeast. I sometimes head over to ADVrider to do some tagging as well. Some days you just need some direction...LOL

Got out for a nice ride today, about 200 miles. A little on the warm side, mid 90s by the time I got home. Possibly the last really hot weekend of the season here. Cold front comes through tomorrow, highs next week "only" around 80.

I'm a little surprised that the tag hasn't been here before, at least I couldn't find that it had been. The location is too easy I guess. But I never would have found it without the GPS. And it sure was a great ride getting there. The smell of the mash cooking was wonderful! I didn't want to leave.

I was thinking about picking up the spaceship tag on my way to the BRG. I might grab the new tag on the trip, since it's sorta in the right direction toward NC.

After 3 months, I thought it was time for a new tag. I grabbed the old tag, last week, while out and about on the ST1300. I hope that it's alright if I swapped bikes to place the new tag. Since there are several Roxy theaters, this one's in Clarksville.

I just moved the Tn. tag. It made for a good ride almost 500 miles round trip After visiting my daughters in Nashville. Old tag location Clarksville TN. at the Roxy theater

Lets try this again, original location At the Roxy in Clarksville, what a nice town . My first time down town , before just on the outer edges. The new location The Wolf River Caf? in Rossville Tn. In west Tennessee. On main street or HWY 194 and just north of Hwy 57. No need to go into the big city of Memphis . ]Great food at any hour and you might meet some fellow riders. There where some twenty or so riders there Saturday a 7 am eating breakfast. Just about 7 miles easy of the Wolf River Caf? is the part of The Wolf River called the Ghost River where the river disappears into a swamp. Every year someone would gets lost canoeing in the 10 mile section of the river and had to be rescued until they finally marked the trees.

I forgot to mention that they serve the best fried catfish and hushpuppies in the Memphis area on Fridays and the weekends. And if you are on a diet try the pig salad and some banana pudding.
