Shinko Verge 011 Tires

Yokohama got rid of their motorcycle tire business 25 years ago. Shinko bought 1998 technology and tire production equipment from Yokohama and have manufactured tires under the Shinko name since then.

I've used many sets of Verge 011 and have never been disappointed. They provide light steering, good feedback, and are surprisingly good on wet roads. However, they are not as comfortable as a set of Michelin and I could only get 8K miles out of the rear tire. I now have a set of Pirelli Angel GT II and I can't find their limits. Feedback is essential in tires and Verge does a good job in this regard.
Maybe the cheapest rubber on the market fitting the ST sizes.

I put some on the tracer when I had it.. Still thinking they would look good on the RT as well.

You can also apply 4 or 5 mm reflective wheel tape pin stripe from a cycle shop or online. I did this on my 2015 NC700X (now sold). When I bought my current NC700X it came with eight 5 mm dots of SOLAS grade white reflective tape applied evenly spaced around the wheels. If you don’t like the look of stripes the dots are less intrusive to the eye but just as effective when rotating as a continuous stripe is.

LoL the reflective stripe was dirty, makes it look like little pieces instead of a solid stripe 20220604_162612.jpg

Richkat....I'm envious of your wheel striping. To me, it appears you very likely have 10mm wide tape (resulting in complete side coverage). My 2006 has 7mm, I errored. Yours looks so much better.

A report on the tires, wet traction is great, ride is noticeably better than the Roadmaster III 's I had on it, especially 2 up. Like others have said, there is a slight weave (?) At certain speeds (20-25 mph), I think it's a product of the tread pattern on the front tire. Not scary or dangerous, it's just a feeling in the bars, not an actual wobble (not enough for my wife to notice it). Not enough miles yet to comment on longevity at this time. But I'm happy with them

I still say if you break the bead, and clean things up again, and clock the tire on the rim four times, your faint feeling would go away.
I’ve removed these shimmy’s on a couple sets of Shinko tires already.
They are just really fussy if you don’t get OCD when installing one.
But you are right as far as grip and sound level etc.
