My front wheel keeps sticking seems to be related to the clutch

I have never seen an non ABS ST1100. Non ABS do not have linked brakes and have no SMC?
Nope... and they come with lot less headache too... ;)

non ABS: '91 - '00 (3" front wheel, 110/80 tire) *no linked brakes, '96 onward: air cooled 40A alt
ABS-I/TCS: '92 - '94 (3" front wheel, 110/80 tire) *no linked brakes, oil cooled 26A alt
ABS-II/CBS '96 - '00 (3,5" front wheel, 120/70 tire) *liked brake plumbing, beefed up front suspension, 40A alt

There are early model 1300s without ABS. All 1300s have linked brakes, however. I know little about the 1100s, other than what I've read here by some of you guys.
But let's go back to the OPs first post in this thread:
"I have a 2002 Honda ST1100..."
My mistake- I forgot that it was an ST1100 being discussed.
I have had two ST1100's. One had ABS and one did not. Both of them had linked brakes but neither one was an early model year. When I was shopping for them I never saw one that did not have linked brakes. I don't remember being aware that ST1100's could be had without linked brakes, must have been in the earlier model years or there just wasn't any around here that didn't have linked brakes.

You might be right, I really can't remember. It was a hell of a long time ago as my non ABS was my first ST1100, so I may well be misremembering.
