The yearly mileage tracker is HERE and will be zeroed out at the beginning of each year.

To be on the list you need to:
  • to edit your profile/Account Details and add your mileage there in the [YEAR] Miles field, the year will also be updated to the current year at the beginning of that year.
  • also make sure you enter a RAN Country value or the entry will not show up.

NOTE
The mileage number is:
  • NOT your bike's odometer
  • NOT your lifetime mileage
  • NOT your ESTIMATED yearly mileage
The mileage number is:
  • A cumulative number of mileage you do throughout the year and updated throughout the year - anyone obviously trying to put estimated mileage or unrealistic numbers will be reset to zero.

Getting close to that time of year again so make sure you update your 2024 miles. On 1/1 I'll copy the numbers and save off on a google drive spreadsheet then zero out the numbers in preparation for the 2025 riding season.

P.S. I could fill out a report for the year 2024 although nearly all of that mileage will have been done on my 1996 Honda Shadow1100, not the ST 1300 I just picked up on Thanksgiving Day.

I keep a notebook for every motorcycle I've ever owned, and I write down the date that I took a trip, the destination or the furthest point from home during my trip, and the ending mileage.

I'm glad the old results are still there. It's fun to look back to see how many participated, how high the mileages were, where I finished etc.

I add my mileage every day after every ride, 331 days of riding so far this year. (I average 305 days a year depending on how hard winter is)

My first-year participating was 2008 when I was still working, and I finished in 391st on the list with 10,632 miles

283rd the next year with 10,561 miles

My best finish was in 2017 after I had retired, finishing 9th with 29,105 miles

Since retiring in 2014 I usually end up around 15th with my average of 22,000 miles a year

This year hovering right around there again with 18,391 and counting with 5 days to go (won't make 20K this year...must be getting old lol)

Some of the names that are perennially at the top are just amazing riders racking up truly impressive miles on a motorcycle. My hat is off to them.

Guys on this forum are real riders!

I don't understand how to find the page where you sign up for this and enter your starting mileage or make your first report.
Go to your account and fill in the fields for mileage for the calendar year making sure your RAN details are there (State or region, RAN area, phone number, etc.) and Opt In.

If I can get it right I'll end the the year with exactly 9000 miles on the odometer of the '14 Norge. That will make the math easy next year!

My last ride of the year was a 40-miler down on the Ohio River Scenic Byway, under overcast skies on damp roads between rains.

İmage

ended up riding 335 days this year, a total of 18,577 miles

It was another good motorcycling year. Miles were a little below average and days were a little above average of the last 11 years. (ave 308 days and 22,026 miles). Then again I am gettiing old...er....lol

I was riding on I-20 at the stroke of midnight, so my year started
with my ST-1300's odometer reading "40,360".
My 1996 Shadow hasn't seen any street miles since mid-November, but it's odometer is at 37,728.
(I "was" going to put that one back together and ride it this week, but I spilled gas on the tank and ruined my spray-paint job.
Well, maybe I'll ride it ugly for a few months and then paint it again in the spring, and sell it when the market's hot.)

I don't know how many miles I rode last year but it wasn't much. I do know that my last ride was 12/16 because I went to the ER after leaving work early that day.

My hernia surgery from May slipped. I had to have surgery again! Can't ride until at least the end of January.

At least I've lost about 20 lbs since 12/16! I sure would like to have a big ole bacon cheeseburger!

Hope to see some of you guys at the GA Spring Rally.

Get well soon Ray. Sucks docs have to do the hernia repair again.

Well happy to say as of 3 PM on New Years Day I currently sit in 3rd on the 2025 Mileage Tracker behind 2 guys I like and admire as riders (Donk & dduelin)

Edit to say my high ranking won't last long and before you know it, I'll be back down to around 15th where I usually finish the year :rofl1:

My miles jumped up in the last week because a window of nice weather appeared, so I headed for Big Bend Tex. I just got home today with nasty weather coming in tomorrow. A 3355 mile ride. Seven nights of camping and it only went down to 32* last night. I was riding the new BBDRX, some great off-road trails like "Old Ore Road" and "Black Gap" I gave my camera to another rider and he got me going up Black Gap.
