Let's try this again, had a problem with images in first post.

Ok, these are various ST1300 that i have accumulated over the years. Another member posted a thread looking for windshields and I sent him this information. He offered to buy four of the windshields but then backed out when he saw how much shipping was to him. Shipping can be pretty pricey, mainly for the size, especially the farther away you are from me. When the dimensions exceed a certain point (can't recall exactly what point) they use "dimensional weight". For example, the four screens he had selected, boxed up, came to 17.5 pounds but the "dimensional weight" based on size was 46 pounds, and that is what was used to calculate shipping charges.

Anyway, since I had gone through all the time and effort to send him all this information I figured I would put it to good use here in case anyone else might be interested so here we go........

These fist two are OEM screens that I experimented with by cutting them down for more airflow. The one on the left is 16" tall and the one on the right with the more rounded corners is 17" tall at the center. $25 each.

Next is a HUGE Cee Bailey screen with vent. It is 26" tall and 25.5" at widest point. $50

IMG_3036.JPG

Next is an Ermax screen (I never heard of the brand either). 24" tall and 26.5" at widest point. $50

Next are two Rifle screens. Rifle screens use their own angled mounting blocks that give their windshield a little more rake (rearward angle) than other screens. I have one pair of mounting blocks (seen at the bottom between the two screens) for both screens so this would have to sell as a set. The larger one is 24.5" tall and the shorter one (cut down by me) 14.5" tall. Both are 22" at the widest point. $60 for the set.

Lastly is an OEM screen in excellent condition and a Laminar Lip combo. The lip attaches with 3M Dual Lock discs that are very strong and hold the lip to the OEM screen. I attached two sets of the Dual Lock discs to the OEM screen so there is some flexibility with how high the lip is mounted. You can ride with or without the lip. Since those discs are permanently mounted to the OEM screen this is a set only. $80 for the set.

Well, there you have it. I can ship them in the least costly manner and combine shipping if you want multiple screens, but shipping is likely to be pricey, mainly for their size.

Feel free to ask any questions and thanks for looking. :)

Dibs for next in line on the huge Cee Bailey. I have that exact screen on my other ST and am spoiled. Need another for the old ST.

Update:

Cee Bailey is sold.

Laminar Lip combo is sold.

OEM with rounded corners spoken for, pending payment.

(I tried to edit the post to remove the sold items but I wasn't able to edit the content, only the title, price, status, etc.)

You seem like you may know more about windshields than most. Went from the stock 2004 ST windshield to a VStream. The rain protection seems horrible, seemed to funnel rain at my eyes, and worse than stock but it was my first rain with it and it was quite a storm. Any thoughts on a windshield with good rain coverage.

Well, I am no expert (see my handle, lol) but I did try the VStream about 10 years ago but I didn't care for it at all and quickly sold it. Going from memory, it was very turbulent/noisy unless I raised the screen more than I cared to. I tried a bunch of different screens but never found the perfect solution. I experimented with changing the angle of the OEM screen by creating spacers from aluminum strips (think yardstick) from Home Depot, looking for clean air. I cut down a couple OEM screens and tried them with my spacers. I rode a long time with the cut down Rifle screen but after many years of that, I ended up just going back to the OEM screen. :shrug1:

I appreciate the decade of knowledge, I think I’ll shortcut the journey and just grab an oem now.

One factor that I forgot to mention is that I have a very tall seat on the ST and that may have complicated things for me regarding the size/shape of the windscreen because it puts my head higher than normal. FWIW, I am 5'11" with 32" inseam. With the taller seat it would be as if I were 6'2" or 6'3" with the same inseam.

How did the laminar lip work for you ?

It actually worked pretty well if I kept the screen a little (inch or two) below my sight line. Not so great with the screen all the way down, which is usually how I like it most of the time.

@rajan ,,, if I didn't already have and use a LL/oem combo,,, I would buy STumped's. I didn't expect it to work as well as it does. I keep it on my sT1300,,, while running the cut down sporty shorty on my St1300,,, LOL,,, CAt'

ps: whoever bought it got a great deal.
