Where to purchase Hondaline top box for the ST1300

I've previously purchased a top box from David Silver Spares, but when I went to purchase one for my 2009 ST1300 today they didn't list anything for the ST1300 (plenty for the ST1100). When I did a model search it said they didn't have any bikes with 1300 displacement! When I looked through their model list, the ST1300 wasn't anywhere to be found. What's up? If they don't sell ST1300 parts anymore, where can I go to get the top box?

Try to find the part number and contact David Silver again :)

Yes there is, and it's true that they do not sell Honda parts for models after 2002. But....

The Part Number for the silver top box is 08L55 MCS 880. Drop an email to Keith at sales@davidsilverspares.co.uk not mentioning the model (maybe this PN goes for older models too), and see if he can help you out.

Yeah, I just got the following response from their sales e-mail address:

Hello

Thank you for your e-mail.

Sorry as from june 1st 2011 we can no longer supply parts for post 2001 models. Please contact P.F.K Lings 01379 853213. They also do a mail order service.

Regards

Matt

Perhaps I'll give your suggestion for an e-mail to Keith a shot. Any idea why they don't sell parts for newer bikes anymore?

Ok...I'm starting to look for a top case for my ST-1300... any opinions??? I called Linky's and nobody answered... That's one way to do business... I can't believe that some fiberglass company has'nt taken this one on!

I took my Hondaline top box off and installed a Bestem so I could drill on it and not the $$Hondaline. If anyone gets REAL serious about wanting a Hondaline box I guess for a hefty price mine could be sold. (Really (on the price too)).

I seem to recall that Blue Honda Top Boxes aren't available anymore, anywhere.

True?

I went ahead and picked one up through a UK dealer doing business via eBay.

If you don't mind me asking, what was the final price (U.S.$) shipped? Also, let us know how long the shipping takes.

Thanks!

$653.54 out the door (shipping, handling, mark-up, pilfering, etc.). I find that price outrageous (considering what I paid a few years ago through David Silver Spares), but still less expensive than Bestem and other channels I've found. Ouch (but necessary for the travel I do).

You better count again, the Bestem boxes are only in the $100.00 range. And my Hondaline topbox cost more than that to me 2 years ago.

No, I didn't mean the Bestem boxes, I meant their offering of the Hondaline boxes (see link above). You can purchase the Hondaline box through them for $799.95 + taxes, shipping, etc...
