I'm looking to buy an oil filter wrench that fits on the Cap of Honda OEM oil filter. What size should I purchase ?

I'm a big advocate for never using a wrench on an oil-filter. You shouldn't need it. But in the tight confines of the ST1300 engine.. maybe.... just maybe there is one use.

I'm not 100% sure on the Honda OEM filter, but for the Purolator replacement filter many of us use, PL14610, it is a 65mm size.

I just bought a 64mm from autozone. Fits perfect on OEM filter, nice and snug

I just use a 17mm wratchet wrench. Along with K&N 204 Oil Filters that have the nut on the end. :D

The OEM Honda filter is a tiny bit smaller in diameter that a Purolator PL14612, but the very expensive OEM Honda filter tool fits snugly on the Purolator. The manual says torque the filter down to 20 ft/lbs, which I find insane. I usually go about 15 ft/lbs. which is still probably excessive.
