Wednesday January 8th Café.

23°F/-5°C when I woke up in SoMD. *yawn* oooh Italian roast! I'm feeling Italian today! Add a dash of parmesan and oregano, then stir. *slurrrrp* thank you sir!

Time to make some breakfast biscuits then settle in to the home office for another exciting WFH day. Not much else to report, at least nothing to say that could put me in jail. Take care y'all!

I think that's why Gen X'ers are mad all the time.

They had to give up records for 8 tracks, which they had to give up for cassette tapes, which then they had to give up for CD's, which they had to give up for .mp3's, which they had to give up for online streaming services...

Similar to Super8/8mm --> VHS/Beta --> LaserDisc --> DVD --> BluRay --> online streaming

Don't get me started on 110/35mm to digital....

I can recommend wearing this:

(my personal favorite for all types of "gatherings"... except ST1100 related ones...)

I can recommend LibreOffice
Running on my workshop laptop as well as my GF`s one now, flawless...

Ditto, and it fills me with sad grim that Sony discontinued the DVD & BD production...
Will Libre work with existing word documents etc?

Good morning, again woke up early, tried going back to sleep, not working. Made 3 egg scrambled for breakfast, and a pot of Higgins and Burke black tea, coffee will be later when wife gets out of bed.
Weather, Mostly Cloudy,38 F high 46 F by 1 pm, windy at 3 mph Gusts(I'm liking that), 94% humidtiy.
Plan for today, organize tools and stuff in work shop, if I have the energy. Cheers G

You omitted MiniDisk and DAT there...

Still using ATRAC:
vinyl -> .oma (so I've the vinyl readily avail archived on MD, incl. printing cover sleeve  ) -> SonicStage -> 320 kbit .mp3 -> iPod (as jukebox on ze ST and in ze car)

Good morning, and thanks for the Italian Roast, Ray.

It's 22 in MA this morning, rising aaalll the way to 23, for today's high.
Hi wind will continue through the day, with 25 to 35 mph wind speeds.

I never made it to the ski hill yesterday, or today.
I eventually found my ski pass, but had a number of things to do this morning.
I opened my friend's restaurant for the fire alarm inspector, and attempted to quell his leak under the kitchen sink. Have I mentioned before how much I hate plumbing? Once he gets a replacement faucet, I'll be back there again.

Brenda called a window covering place to replace the vertical blinds in the front room, as well as the kitchen. I was there to give her moral support, as we made our selections. I was thinking about how the word boat means "Break Out Another Thousand" for some reason.

I'll try for a gym visit at some point today, and we'll find somewhere for dinner.
It's also our (2025-1977) 48'th anniversary, today. We don't trade gifts, but will raise a glass to us.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Pro Tip: Things that could land you in jail are best left unreported anyhow.

You're welcome.
