Good morning to one and all. The Dark Italian Roast is ready, help ya'selves.
The weather, it's a bit chilly, 32 to 39, icy and clear with not a breeze to stir the branches.
I want summer back please.
Pleeeaaaase?
Nope....OK.
Er'Indoors is away to the Borders for haircutting excellence. Maybe, maybe not. Meh.
I shall be unsupervised until lunch time but there's no chance of a nap. It's them some'ats. Pffffffftttttt.
I was reading a well known American Media article the other day when the term, "non transgender woman" was used. I tend to ignore the new gender identifications, firstly I don't understand half of them and I don't really care to learn what a "genderfluid" type actually is. I know, it's me.
But "non transgender woman" made me stop and think......dangerous.....isn't that just a woman!
I know, it's me! Pffffffftttttt.
Av a gud un and remember, watch your gender.
Upt.

Thx Ray, and yes, it’s you!

In Norway there are about fifty newborns yearly who is double equipped…
Their parents have to choose what to remove.
Always be yourself.

2˚c/36f, 30mph wind, no rain.

A cold walk awaits.

Have a good one!
Stu

good morning all. Dark Italian Roast is just right, thanks Ray. 49F on the dog walk this morning with a clear sky and a ton of stars out to see and enjoy. Plus we have the added Christmas light displays to think, just how much money did they spend as I walk. I have gym this morning and I need to clean the work bench off from my last job of repairing a lamp cord. so that shoots the day.
72F for the high with 3 mph wind gusts
I'm with you Ray, I cant keep up with the gender thing. enjoy the day

stay safe

G'Day...

aprox +1°C, mixed weather, dry, almost no winds... will see 7°C high today...

wasted the first one and a half hours today doing... nothing...
at 0720hrs that PC started squeamish with [update!]... Win11 24H2...
so I sat there, sucking on my 3in1 instant in the AC/DC mug... like watching paint dry... pffffff... at about 0850hrs the procedure was finally completed...
Of course right then hell broke loose... everyone from everywhere demanded everything at once... SOP...
All caught up by 1030hrs though...

Meanwhile my coworker decided to switch on the mood...

6" tall, USB powered... pffffff... Humbug...

Weather forecasts already issue their mandatory "snow warning!"... for Sunday... pffffff...

But "non transgender woman" made me stop and think......dangerous.....isn't that just a woman!
Nah, these days you can't just "assume" a person's gender... even if the t**s would be a dead giveaway...
The terms "mom" and "dad" are now heavily frowned upon... that's "parent no 1" and "parent no 2" now... pffffff...

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the Italian dark roast, Ray. It's tasty and welcome as always.

In Rockville, there are 24°F Fahrenheits roaming around loose, and for once it feels like 24 rather than some much lower quantity. That must mean it's calm, and the weather app says it's clear but of course I've not yet been out to verify since the paper has yet to arrive to be collected. We anticipate partly sunny skies and an high around 40. The hype machine is already trumpeting a warning about tomorrow, when a wind advisory will be in effect from 0900 through 1800 hours.

I live near Washington, D.C. which means there's nearly ALWAYS wind, or at least hot air, even when Congress isn't in session.

Strangely enough, now that I've gotten used to the new info display, the Windows weather app seems to have reverted to its previous manifestation. I wish they'd make up their minds.

What's on for today? Let's see... try once more to file for the electronic visas to enter Laos and Vietnam next month. I never left the house yesterday so didn't get to the embassy, and found that both countries offer online applications. That seems like the way to go, and I think I've assembled all the required materials, namely scanned copies of my passport, a scan of a separate passport-sized photo, and of course a valid credit card number.

Only three weeks to Christmas, which means only about 16 or 17 days until the winter solstice and the return of lengthening periods of daylight rather than diminishing quantities. Woo hoo! :run1::run1::run1::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: I feel like I can see the end of the tunnel!

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them.

Mornin’ y’all. Thanks for the cup, Ray.

A little warmer today at 22F. Going all the way to 53 this afternoon, which isn’t too bad. Teddy wants me to drive him to the vet this afternoon to get his skin/hair problems sorted and while we’re in town, I might as well pick up some groceries.

Is it too early in the season for, “Bah, Humbug.”?

John

Good morning, all, and thanks for the fine brew, Ray!

We have a reddish-pink sunrise under mostly cloudy skies this morning, and it's a tad chilly at -4°C/25°F with a feels-like of -10°C/14°F. The clouds are getting thicker pretty quickly and the forecast very definitely says "snow." Only a 40% chance this morning, but the flakes will definitely be falling from early this afternoon to tomorrow evening. Doesn't look like it will be heavy snow, though, so how much accumulation we actually get remains to be seen. No worries, 'tis December in the Great White North, after all.

Gotta fly. Everyone have a great day, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Good morning all !
Thanks for the trans-start Raymond!
We’re in Tifton, GA., waiting to stuff our faces at Cracker Barrel. At risk of jinxing myself here, we’ve had a great trip traveling so far!
Miss Judy is doing a fine job of keeping my speed down! I do tend to exceed the limits, too far out of “the grey area!”
We’ll stop overnight at my sister’s, she is always happy to have a visit from family, as she is the only sibling living in the US now!
32F, very sunny, great day for radar traps!
Hugs to all, especially that Woller guy/gal! :notworthy-2x:

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Ray.

It's 20 and sunny in MA this morning, becoming cloudy as the temp rises to 38.
We're expecting snow, starting this evening, and we're in the 1-3" area. The worst of it will arrive around the morning drive, tomorrow.

Yesterday, I made it to the gym, for a bit, and did a bit of grocery shopping.
No walk, though.

Today, I'll head to the gym again, and try to get ready for the first season's snow.
The contractor says that he'll be ready for the appliances next week, so I'll pay them off and schedule a delivery time.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

It's supposed to be warm today and by warm I mean 40* but this will be at a cost of 9* tonight. That sounds fun.

The breezeway is finishing today. Gutter action yesterday and today it is finish trim. It is a bunch of work to build this thing and we're over budget (which we budgeted for) but this morning I walked through the utility room, walked through the breezeway into the shop and had lighting (and ramps) the whole way. We have accomplished the goal.

Unfortunately there was no alien invasion yesterday as it was predicted by some AI model. So maybe today will be the magic day.

You cats be safe and we'll be over here in our tin foil hats.

We were volunteers at the 2019 Roswell, NM UFO Festival and running the costume contest and making hats for anyone who asked. Antennas were a Premium Upgrade.

Morning Ray & All, from a sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 32F, up from 20F and heading for 49F. No breeze yet, but do expect some winds later coming from the NNW @ 7 to 8mph.

A bust yesterday. I did get over to Home Depot and bought a few more parts for the tractor shed electrical. So I'll be working on that, once it warms up out there a bit more.

Chris is at pretzel school, and it's time for me to jump in the shower.

Hot cereal, toast & OJ to start the morning. Pepsi(s) to come later.

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Morning all! Grey and foggy...the weather....well.....me too I guess. 2C for the ride in which was a bit chilly. I left a bit later which put me in the thick of traffic into town. I had to admonish a number of drivers about their speed or actions. Some may have even heard me. Currently 4C with a high of 7C to come along with, allegedly, some sun. Maybe once the fog burns off...the weather's, for mine it's the addition of caffeine.

I don't get the fuss about the gender thing. If someone wants to do a little gender bending, fill your boots. I'll call you whatever you want to be called....unless of course you were one of those drivers from this morning, then I already have a name for you.....

Obo, best of luck with the recovery program. Hopefully you get the car sorted once and for all.

Countertops go in today, which means I can finally start leaving piles of my crap everywhere. It's like Christmas come early, nothing humbug about it. There will be bugging later in the form of "Get your crap.......".

Hope everyone has a great day and that you're able to counter any obstacles thrown your way!

They don't let us do that up here though I'll confess to having ridden up the side once or twice in very heavy traffic (explanation, not excuse).

The California Highway Patrol had been Lane Splitting for years and basically other riders figured if they could, we could also. So Lane Splitting in CA, probably, from what I gather, has been around since the fifties. :unsure-2x:

Both lane splitting and filtering here are not permitted.
If you're lucky the boys and girls in blue will give you a performance award for cash.
If you're unlucky, other motorists will simply give you a pit maneuver.
