Ay up, ow at. The French Roast and warm Panettone await your delectation.
It's a bit blowy out, my day started at sun up picking up bits of the water tub and associated crap. Pffffffftttttt.
45 to 56, with anything up to 50 mph winds from the West. It should stay dry. Meh.
After a very steady start I think I'll be off to Alnwick upon the Aln on my lonesome for you know what. It's that time of year. If any of you are passing I'll be in The Dirty Bottles boozer at about 1.30, I'm buying.
The socialist governmental experiment continues, it's not really going too well, spending up, interest rates up, growth down. Car dealers are in a quandary, the quotas for EV sales before fines are imposed seem to mean they can't sell any more petrol, diesel or hybrids because they can only sell EV'S to make up the gap, but of course few people are buying new EV'S. Whereas used EV'S are flying out of the doors because the market is saturated with stock and prices are rock bottoom. Sometimes 30% of new value for new'ish vehicles. Although that might be their aims of course. In which case, well done.
I see our Mr.Farage has been over dining with your Mr.Musk, strange old world innit.
Now what about today, best get on with it.
Av a gud un and remember, keep the red flag flying high.
Upt.

It's not as spooky as it looks. Don't forget.....1.30.

Thx Ray, my comrade!

Green christmas by the looks of it….10˚c/50f, 40mph, heavy rain.

Today is recovering from yesterdays consert happening.
Somehow I got involved in the up and downrigging of the sound and light equipment, in addition to the performance..
I managed to plug the stage light right on my first try.

The consert was great.
One of the tenors had toured with dame Kiri.

Have a good one, and don’t be late! (1:30=13:30)

good morning all. thanks for the coffee Ray. 47F on the dog walk this morning with a bright moon, clear sky and plenty of stars to see and enjoy.
yesterdays doctors appointment went well. he was pleased that my Parkinson hasn't changed. believe me so was I. this morning is gym class then drive home where wife and I will head back up to the gym at 16:30 for their Christmas party . should be fun. the high should see 79F. enjoy the day

stay safe

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee Ray- I see you've reverted to France after a prolonged flirtation with Italian roast. Either works for me; they're both excellent choices.

It's 36°F, clear, and calm in Rockville. Apparently clouds will accumulate during the day leading to chances of scattered light rain showers by 1700 hours but, as the high temperature is expected to be about 51 there's no real threat of it freezing.

Goof yesterday was pleasant if unspectacular. We were paired with a couple brothers, who were easygoing and good company. That may be what I like most about getting out- meeting and spending time with enjoyable strangers. It's the rare outing indeed when I've gotten a real clunker.

Mrs. Fun's hen party yesterday evening was a complete success. One of the ladies remained as an overnight guest, as she's no longer comfortable with driving after nightfall. Not sure whether we'll take her out for breakfast or feed her in house but I'm sure Mrs. Fun has a plan.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them.

G'Day...

4°C in ze mornin', will see 8~9°C during the day, scattered overcast, twilight, no wind, no precipitation...

Not too keen on Panettone, basically over those candied orange peels... <yuk>
What is it with Brits and their oranges, that jelly with sliced peels in particular? <double-yuk>
Gimme any other fruit at any time, but orange peels? :cautious:

Slow day at the office, most clients lost in Xmas parties and such...

The EC's strategy on reducing carbon emissions till 2030 is adorable, the tonnage seems about the volume blown out by China in 48hrs...
But, the lobbying is strong in this one... their mind is set... buy!... new!... now!... they even intend to expropriate the people...

A brief reminder for next week though:

have a good one!

cheers!

Only China can cut Chinese emissions, but the rest of the world has to take responsibility for cutting their own emissions. It all matters.

Achieving that by being forced to continuously buy new stuff, exclusively build in China?!...
Ruining the local industry to relocate emission sources from Europe to Asia, so EC muppets can tap themselves on their shoulders for alleged local "savings", is a "logic" that just escapes my understanding... pure spreadsheet/power-point wanking...

But of course, they all only want our best... our money...

Morning all, and thanks for the coffee, Ray.

The rest of the world has to take responsibility for cutting their own emissions.

Cedar plugs for everyone, and can the beans.

It was a black ice skating rink for the drive to work, with clear skies and temps right at freezing. It'll pop up to 4C under mostly cloudy skies later on.

I'm on the road in about an hour to take the Mrs. car up for open heart surgery - a new head gasket. Funny it's the engine is the heart of the car, but has a head. Curious to see what I get for a loaner. They did mention it could be an EV.

Hope EVeryone has a great day and avoids being charged.

Oh, and free booze is free booze. Just sayin'

Obo.

Good morning, all. Thanks for the coffee and offer to buy drinks, Ray.

Holding around 60 degrees, with all day rain. Looks like I’ll be out in the weather, as Teddy has managed to deplete the supply of dog food. We always enjoy our trip to Tractor Supple to restock the kibble, as Teddy gets pats on the head from the shoppers and a dog treat from the cute girl at the checkout. Me? All I get is the bill for his food and an aching back from lifting lifting a couple of 50 pound bags.

Good morning, all, and thanks for the coffee and panettone, Ray! I'll take the curmudgeon's portion so it doesn't go to waste. ;)

It isn't very cold today, but it will certainly be soggy and messy. We'll have cloudy conditions with some sunny breaks for the next couple of hours or so, and then all bets are off. The rain will start at around 10, then turn to mixed rain/snow at around 1, and then we'll get snow from about 5 pm through to the wee hours of tomorrow morning. Temps will range from 2°C/36°F to 3°C/37°F, with windchills a degree or so to either side of the freezing mark.

Right, I must be off. And you thought it was the drains. Everyone have a great day, stay safe and go safely. Ray, see you at the pub.

Patty

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Ray.

It's 33 and sunny this morning, but it will become partly and then fully cloudy, before the rain begins overnight.
The temperature should rise to 49.

Yesterday, I managed a gym visit, and a dog walk.
I scheduled the truck's oil change at a local place, that isn't Jiffy Lube, and I'll bring it there this morning.
Brenda went bowling, and we met at our favorite Chinese restaurant for a late dinner.

Today's plan is for the oil change, gym visit, and a bit of Christmas shopping. Brenda says that she doesn't want anything, but I'll at least get her a gift card. She needs some new clothes, now that she's lost a bit of weight.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Good morning all!
It’s a quiet morning here in NFM.
The insurance guy wrote off the golf cart. I’ve found a replacement, it’s a few years newer and was owned by a little old lady from Pasadena! LOL! ;)
Unfortunately she is no longer with us! Hence it will be ours shortly.
Currently 68/85 F with a SSE breeze @ 6-12 MPH.
I just posted an insurance rant on yesterday’s posting!
Dave, here’s a bear hug for you!
And another one for our Wooler bar guy!

Morning all! It's mixed bag sky wise; mostly blue sky and sun but I can see ominous clouds off to the West. 8C right now with a high of 10C to come along with a wind warning of gusts up to 90kph.

This taking the car to work is getting old. Though you sure can carry home a bunch more groceries after work. Not to mention you avoid torrential rains like on the drive home last night. Still....it's not the same. Maybe I need to get the head looked at as well as the bike.....I recall a teacher in high school used to bark "Get back in your cage" at kids that got out of their seat during class.

Hope everyone has a great day and gets out of the cage, at least a bit!

Morning all.......

Thanks Ray...you da man.

Wow, all this talk of free booze makes me thirsty......:p
Our weather is quite warm, not as warm as @Mr ed , but trying to get there. 46 already this morning with wind up to 50mph. All the snow has melted and it looks like the lawn needs a mowing......... Skimarea is 33 degrees at 7am.....not happy about that.

Oh well, it is a hump day and the last day my better half makes her weekly visit to the local hospital to Rub the doctors and nurses. She has been doing this for almost 8 years now every Wednesday. Finally convinced her that we don't need the money, but we do need the time. Yay..!!!!!

Go have a happy wednesaturday,
T

Afternoon Ray & All from mostly sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently @ noon, it is 49F, up from 20F and heading for 54F. We already have a breeze going, it's coming from the NNE @ 4mph. Later, it will pick up to 6mph.

The search for cheaper insurance is still happening. We found out that the daughter of a friend of Chris's, sells insurance, so I emailed her my info, we'll see what she comes up with.

I need to take the Christmas goodies to our neighbors, I just might pull out the 2012 :dr13: to deliver them. It's warm enough for that! :unsure-2x:

My knee is still causing issues and of course, now my back has joined in. This getting old is for the birds! :old1:

Boiled eggs with bacon, toast & OJ started the morning. Pepsi(s) come later.

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:
