Wednesday coffee

good morning all. thanks for the coffee Mac. 66F on the dog walk with a lot of clouds out and about to cover the sky, but still a good walk.
got gym this morning and I need to take the truck in for an emissions scan before I can get my new tags for the year. the testing center is on my way home so no big deal. the high should hit 87F. enjoy the day

stay safe

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Mac.

It's 27 and a bit cloudy, going to 50 with possible showers predicted.

Yesterday's weather turned out better than predicted, and I was able to get out for a decent walk, after the gym.
I took a look at the VFR's horn issue, and need to look at it further. Contact cleaner didn't work, in other words.

Today, I'll head to the gym, and maybe try for another walk.
Brenda was talking about going to the range today, when I suggested it on Monday, so we might do that.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee @motomac . I'm glad you've come back to the coffee club (and not just because you made the coffee today).

It's cloudy and 43°F in Rockville, going to just 49 with wind WNW at 15 mph with gusts of twice that for most of the day. Makes me glad I played goof yesterday, with indoor activities slated for today.

This morning there's an organizing meeting for this year's Rockville Duffers Golf Group that I'll attend; in the afternoon I'll take Mulan the cat over to the vet for her second anti-arthritis jab, and then later there's online uke practice and a video conference with the attorney firm that set up the trust for my kid sister when our Dad dies. My oldest brother had been the trustee, but now it's up to someone else to pick up that duty. Rather than deplete the trust through hiring a professional trustee I've elected to take on the responsibility myself. We'll see how that goes.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it NOW, today, because tomorrow may be too late.

"my patience is somewhere on the bottom of this cup...
Hang on while I'm trying to find it..."

G'Day,

7°/16°C today, partially cloudy, no precipitation expected...
GF took the NT for commuting... pfffff...

Me, still stuck in that Yaris... life as an insect, threatened by everything around, continuously 'on the run' with that thang... huh! That nasty semi... pfffff...

Kinda busy day at the office though, everybody wants something... pfffff...

gotta run...

cheers!

Good morning, all, and thanks for the coffee and much-anticipated waffles, Mac!

We still have a bit of unsettled weather to contend with today, but it's drier than yesterday. It is currently 0°C/32°F with a feels-like of -4°C/25°F, and we'll reach a high of 4°C/39°F. Overcast with a couple of sunny breaks, chance of a shower, mixed rain/snow, snow flurries tonight.
I'll be venturing out (not far) to get my 2nd shingles jab at noon. The first shot did absolutely nothing to me; hope this one will be the same.

Right, gotta go - lots of stuff to do today. Everyone have a good one, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Good morning!
We had rain and hail in the area last night but it seems to have skirted our house by just a few hundred yards or so. I could see the lightning and hear the wind/rain/hail but we're perfectly dry this morning.
Had my first old f#rt moment on the 1300 yesterday. 74 next week. Approaching a traffic light, I had braked almost to a stop and put my left foot down. Problem was, an awful crimp hit my left leg at that instant and it would not move. So I turned the front wheel left a bit and lightly blipped the throttle just in time. That tipped the nearly stopped bike to the right just as I passed the white strip in the road and caught it with my right leg assembly. Looked a bit awkward and embarrassing but it did get the job done.
Apparently my reaction time is still adequate. Need to spend more time in the gym this time of the year, yardwork is no substitute.

I’ll just leave this here, but once seen, can not be forgotten.

I remember that cartoon! Tom Terrific! I never understood why he was wearing an inverted funnel as a hat. Wouldn't he have gotten motor oil, transmission fluid, and / or brake fluid all over his head? Or maybe cooking oil, if it was a kitchen funnel?

He called that his 'thinking cap'.

Morning all! Grey and overcast here this morning. The weather network says it will alternate rain and some sun today. It's currently it's 10C and the high will be 15C. It turned out gorgeous towards the end of the day yesterday so I took the younger dog down to the ocean for a walk. He actually walked into the water for the first time, previously he has been scared by the waves. I guess it's a good think he's conquering a fear but not so sure it's a good thing if he starts swimming; a wet Bernese Mountain dog will take a long time to dry and be really "doggy" till he does.

Not sure which Pooh character I would be. Physically Pooh but then again my top seems to be made out of rubber and my bottom made out of springs....Pooger? Nope, don't like that one....Tigoo? I think we'll just leave it alone.....

Tin-itus.....iron-y at it's finest.....

My wife has an appointment with a specialist today to see if we can start to figure out what caused her femur to break so I took the afternoon off to go with her. I'm hoping to be able to make a quick stop at Best Buy after as I wasn't able to make it yesterday. We'll see, it will be up to Command Authority.

Hope everyone has a great day and doesn't get their signals crossed, there's journalists everywhere.......!
