Ay up, eye eye, what do we have here, only blummin Dark Italian Roast and Buttermilk Pancakes, home stewed own garden fruit and Italian Mascarpone. Help ya'selves.
I won't carp on about it.
The weather, how cold Ethel, that is really cold. 27 to 34, light snow and some sun. All maybe of course.
Some some'ats are done, some some'ats will get done and some some'ats won't. It is decreed.
Our Internet service swaps over today, what that entails I haven't got a Scooby. Hopefully there'll be a small child passing to give me a chuck. Pffffffftttttt.
Av a gud un and remember, it's cod for dinner. Also remember your eye drops.
Upt.

G'Day...

5°C, overcast, windy, slight drizzle, as a cold air front is moving in slight chances of a little sleet later on...
The media of course issued a storm warning, a rain warning and a snow warning... so, consider yourself warned...

The conditions on my way to and from work every day:

Screenshot_20241115-144647.png

The progressive (car hating) folks out there, pedestrians, bicycle riders and e-scoot operators dress accordingly... monochrome... in RAL 9005, deep black...
Which is good, makes me stay alert at all times so I won't run one over when they erratically pop out on the road... the evil is always and everywhere...

Just gulped down my 2nd coffee charge, the trusty instant 3in1 brought to you by the world's largest food & beverage company...

sugar, glucose syrup, instant coffee (11%), palm kernel oil, soluble fiber, skimmed MILK powder (0.7%), MILK protein, salt, stabilizers (E331, E452),
lactose (MILK), acidity regulator (E340), emulsifiers (E471, E472e), natural flavorings, MILK fat, color (E101)

what a kick...

OTOH does the sludge from the bean grinding coffee maker in the staff room taste like 50:50 sewer and bilge... carefully mixed with a well placed kick in the teeth... go figure...

Good morning and thanks for the coffee start, Ray

It's clear and 41 in MA this morning, rising to 57, later.

My surgery went well, yesterday, and I have a follow-up visit this morning. Brenda will drive me, then drop me off at the house before continuing to work.

Gotta feed our cat first, though.

I've got no plans for the rest of the day, except for a nap.
Maybe a walk.

Enjoy your day,
Steve

Good Wednesday everyone.
Thanks Ray for words of wisdom, drinks of caffeine, and kitchen surprises!
A frabjous day!

@ST1100Y - Martin - that's kwite a chemistry lesson - what has food become eh?
@steve3b3 - very glad to hear you're well!

And the Hyperbole channel makes mention of Oarfish washing up in CA portending disaster.
Hey folks, let's just stick to weather and leave the jive to the mystics!

Twas a seriously pretty day here in NC yesterday so I fired up the '78 Wing and off I went.
Up to VA and back to the homeland for a warm-up ride!
After riding the sophisticated newer Wings, the old-school was nostalgic.
--You put the kickstand down and the engine continues to run.
--No built-in radio, air compressor, or traction controls.
--More feathering of the clutch.

Speaking of weather, yeah, it's raining - @ibike2havefun Keith - I guess you'll see some rain too.
Not sure what today will bring other than an oil & brake fluid change in the '78.

Anyway - Y'all have a wonderfilled day! (and watch out for Oarfish).

Thx Ray, what a splendour!

Started early walking. Cold at -5c/23f, clear blue sky, calm, temp will be around freezing later.

I think I’ll just take rest of the day off.
Because I can.

Have a good one!
Stu

good morning all. thank you Ray for the coffee. 40F on the dog walk with a slight breeze that made me put my jacket hood up to keep the chill off my neck. only the moon was out to see and enjoy.
have gym this morning and nothing on the list for the afternoon. I'm sure I can find something to get into. our high should be 77F. enjoy the day

stay safe.

Morning all and thanks for the coffee Ray.

@steve3b3 Sound like quite a day in store, from cataracts, to catafeds, to catanaps. Enjoy!

8C and cloudy, headed down to 6C and cloudy.

I'm channelling my inner WhiskerBill today and will be on the road soon for a 1000km round trip road trip shortly. If all goes according to plan I'll be back in about 14 hours.

Be good while I'm gone. @SupraSabre Bob, you're in charge while I'm gone - subject to @Peppermint's approval. :)

See y'all later.

Obo.

multi billion dollar industries...

Big propaganda on local grown and ecological and bio and animal welfare farming, but when you look at the ingredients listed on food packing's it reads like the portfolio of Dupond, BASF, Sinopec, Dow, Ineos, Formosa...

And the Hyperbole channel makes mention of Oarfish washing up in CA portending disaster.
poor sod...

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the Italian roast and pancakes Ray.

Speaking of weather, yeah, it's raining - @ibike2havefun Keith - I guess you'll see some rain too.

It's 50°F and partly cloudy in Rockville. I could see Jupiter, Mars, the moon, Ursa Major, Polaris, and a few of the other bright stars, but none of the dozen or more satellites that passed overhead while I was out fetching the paper. (A StarLink train, or perhaps more than one, were shown on my astronomy app but not visible to my eyes). We expect a high around 64, with chances of scattered light rain around 1900 hours- not so early as to pose a threat to today's planned round of goof.

@steve3b3 Sound like quite a day in store, from cataracts, to catafeds, to catanaps. Enjoy!

He could simply become catatonic. Or he could offer Freya the cat a tonic.

There was an incident when we first moved to this region. We lived in a brand new apartment, in a complex through which the local road passed and separated one group of buildings from the other. In the winter months I left for work in the dark, returned home after dark, and spent the entire workday in a windowless subbasement workspace.

One December day just before Christmas we got a flyer seeking donations to help residents in a building across the road recover from a fire a couple days earlier that had destroyed the upper couple floors of their building, rendering the entire place uninhabitable. The flyer was the first inkling I had that there had been a catastrophe; despite the fact that I looked in that direction every morning as I left for work, I had failed to notice anything odd or unusual. It turns out that black ruins don't silhouette well against an inky winter sky.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them.

Hello, I must be going, I came to say, I cannot stay, I must be going! But first,, I think I'll have a slurp of that coffee and sample a buttermilk pancake with stewed fruit and Mascarpone, just for the halibut. Thanks, Ray!

Mainly sunny day, 4°C/39°F with a feels-like of 1°C/34°F, high of 8°C/46°F with a feels-like of 5°C/41°F.

Safe travels, @Obo. Bob has my blessing as Officer of the Day.

And now, I really must be going. Big thingy to deliver by 10. Why are Bowie and Mercury singing a never-ending loop of "Under Pressure" in my head?

Later gators. Stay safe, go safely.

Patty

Good morning all!
Thanks for another hot start Ray!
I trust everyone will have a great day!

I’m left on my own today (unsupervised) and a fridge full of meals to keep me fed!
Miss Judy is headed back to Woodstock to shop & meet up with a cousin.
I believe I’ll get a walk in and see if I can tidy up the mess in our garage, to the best of my ability.
Or not!

Lake Huron water levels are quite low this fall, if this continues we just may be able to clean up a few errant cattails next spring.

Currently 50 with today’s high scheduled at 52.
The blow is SE 7-24 MPH. The weather gurus are promising rain & drizzle later on, well after my walk.
Enjoy your efforts to make this a great day

Morning Ray & All from sunny, but cold & :wind1: , Southern Utah!

Currently it is 42F, up from 17F and heading for 55F with the winds already coming from the SSW @ 10 to 17mph. Also later we should have some clouds blocking some of that sunshine!

Yesterday, the solar controller came in so I hooked it up to the tractor. Hopefully that will keep the battery charged and keep the cold from killing it.

Chris is at pretzel class (physical therapy) and will be complaining once she gets back about what's hurting now, but what wasn't before she left!

Me in charge? In charge of WHAT? :shrug2: I'm retired, I don't know how to be in charge of anything anymore! :nanner1:

I had some leftover pancakes from the other day. Chris put them strategically on the egg cartons (in the fridge) so I would see them and have to move them to get to the eggs! :well1: OJ to was down the sugar. Pepsi(s) to come later.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Morning all! It is a grey, wet, very windy day out there. The bomb cyclone has arrived with a vengeance; recorded winds up to 159 kph in some places. It'll stay windy for the most of the day, winding down towards evening. Currently 8C with a high of 10C to come.

Glad I decided to stay and work from home today. I cannot imagine what the commute in would have been like, even by car, let alone by bike. Our daughter was driving home last night from work and said she had to turn the wheel hard left just to stay straight. Mother Nature is a bit of a bully when she decides to exercise some muscle.

Steve, glad all went well with the surgery. If the cat is indecisive, does that mean catamite or catawon't? Safe travels Obo.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Morning all.....

Mmmmm coffee and pancakes...thanks.

Steve, glad the cutting went well. Stay catatonic.
obo, drive safe.
Weasel, the big bomb threat petered out to be just some rain and a bit of wind last night..... Disappointed!!
Ski area did get 8 more inches so far....Yahoo.
Wife did delay a trip to town by an hour so the little bit of snow would clear first.

Bob, you are in charge....cause you are retired, and wise, and willing...?
Go have a happy hump day everyone...
T

Sounds like you're turning into your cat.) Glad your surgery went well.

Thanks for the coffee and flapjacks, Ray!

It's a magnificent sunny good-to-be-alive day today. The wind is blowing, the trees are swaying, and the temps will climb to 64 degrees today.

I'm still having trouble with my website, but I see light at the end of the tunnel. Can't seem to raise my programmer in Ukraine today, though. At least not yet. I'm praying that the war-mongers don't succeed in turning Ukraine into a pile of rubble.

The transfer-some-money-to-a-mechanic light is on in the Rogue. Uh oh. I'll have to get the OBD reader out and see what's going on. Fingers crossed that it's just a simple evap leak.

I tuned into my buddy Steve Wise's motoministry on Facebook last night. Good stuff. Steve is an AMA Hall of Fame racer. Some of you may remember him. He rode motocross, supercross, and superbike. Very nice guy. Tune in Tuesdays at 7:30 if you're so inclined.

Church this evening with good eatin' before the bible study. I bet 75% of the people go for the food. It's true. Hey, don't look at me!

Have a blessed day!
