Ay up sleepy heads, me included. The Italian Dark Roast is ready and there is a selection of Danish Pastries to provide you with sustenance and vigour. Help ya'selves.......But will it be the first offering provided today, you just never know, you know?
Yesterday proved good enough for a little outside choring, which was pleasant, today will be similar on the strength of what I'm looking at, which is 31 to 42, light winds and grey. I found an old but never really worn genuine Honda Fleece which I was kindly gifted when assisting Honda UK with promotions. It's lovely and warm, probably too good for gardening and choring, but needs must. Why do we put things away for later? Pffffffftttttt.
Av a gud un and remember, wait for Noddy.

Good morning everyone

thanks for the Italian dark roast and Danish Ray.

Ay up sleepy heads,

That'd be me. It was a night of very poor sleep, and nowhere near enough of even that. A nap is almost certainly going to be required. It may even be more-or-less spontaneous. I hope I'm not driving or operating power equipment when it happens.

It's a wet but very warm (and humid equally humid) 59°F in Rockville. It won't get much warmer- only three more Fahrenheits are anticipated before we sled down the slope of coolness and end the day in the middle 30s- and it'll be wet all the way until around 2100 hours. We need the moisture, but it has forced the cancellation of today's tussle with the goof course. Good thing I went yesterday.

Mrs. Fun has designated today as put-up-the-Christmas-tree day. Yesterday evening she began festooning various horizontal (and some vertical) surfaces around the house with the usual seasonal decorations so I knew it was only a matter of time before the tree reappeared.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them.

good morning all. thanks for the coffee Ray. a chilly 36F on the dog walk with a somewhat cloudy sky and a bright moon to add some light to the path with the stars acting as a background. cool enough that the dogs didn't spend a lot of time sniffing.(both are short hair's).
not sure of what's in store for the afternoon but I have gym today so that kills the morning. the high for today is just 70F. might wash the car when I get back from the gym or might not we will see. enjoy the day

stay safe

Good morning, everyone. Thanks for the Italian Roast, Ray. The Danish ain’t bad, either.

Teddy looked out and noticed the dusting of snow on the vehicles and said, “Nope, I’ll hold it a bit longer.” and went back to bed. 34 to start, 44 for the high, with some sunshine in the mix.

I had a chat with the UPS driver yesterday. He said the holiday overload of packages is expected to continue after the season, as more people are giving up shopping in person. He said that he’s seeing more deliveries from stores that are just minutes away from the buyer. I guess he’s hinting that I should pick up my oil filters instead of clicking the box, “Buy now.”

Thx Ray, goodie goodie!

When I recently removed the fireplace in the kichen, I needed a roll of wallpaper to match the rest.
And I found one in the storage under the stairs, put aside 35 years ago….Designers Guild bought in Aberdeen in 1989…

Today is foggy/ misty, 5˚c/41f, calm.

Been for a walk.
Not shure about later.

Have a good one, and please don’t sleep and drive!
My uncle died peacefully that way, but his passengers did not.

Ray, thanks for the hot bean juice and snacks! I am thinking like Keith today - a nap may be in order!

It is currently 33F with a guess of 48F later today with 100% chance of rain. The weather here is .... interesting ... yesterday Tractor and I pushed close to 4 inches of snow out of the drive and today there could be up to 3 inches of rain descend upon us ... pfffftttttt! It has rained on and off a good portion of the night so I was kept from ultra-deep sleep by the occasional "rumble -thud" of rain soaked snow sliding off the steel roof.

Oh well, I am heading out shortly to meet a friend for breakfast and then do some shopping for a side by side.

Stay safe, stay dry, and just enjoy the day.

Scott

Morning all, and thanks for the coffee, Keith.

See, I'm now 2 days behind.

1C headed to 13C. We may get some more freezing rain before it switched to just rain. Heavy rainfall warnings in effect. All the frozen ground and snow blocked storm drains will cause localized flooding. Then it'll likely get cold, freeze and we'll be driving on skating rinks again.

Hope everyone has spectacular day!

Obo.

Good morning, all, and thanks for the coffee and danoiseries, Ray!

This heavy rain event seems to be cutting a very wide swath. It rained all day in Ottawa, was absolutely pouring when I got to Montreal, and it will rain all day and most of the night, sometimes heavily. Then the temperatures will drop drastically and Montreal will become a giant block of ice. Not pleasant in the least. Don't think I'll be going much of anywhere for the next couple of days.

I'm thoroughly exhausted from a full day of meetings and a full-day national forum, but I have to say that it was a great event. And the Canadian War Museum is an absolute gem. If any of you ever have the occasion to visit Ottawa, it is not to be missed.

Right, time to get back to the "normal" routine and work schedule. Everyone have a great day, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

G'Day folks...

can really use a stiff brew of joe today... o_O

only 1°C, gray, drizzle, ghastly... at least no "weather warnings" issued, that's something...
Of course are the "weather experts" secreting all various worst case scenarios for the coming days/weeks/months...
Experts... pfffff... like blokes who brag about Kamasutra positions but never had a girlfriend, eh? :sneaky:

Tad busy morning here at the office, all catched up, well organized computer files and databases provide a quick reaction and high firing rates...

slowed down now... time to clean folders on the hard-drive and such...

anyway, enjoy ze day...

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Ray.

It's raining here in MA, too, with a temperature of 34.
It'll keep raining, as the temperature rises to 62. I guess that snow is out...

Yesterday, the appliances arrived, and they were put in place. The room is starting to look like a kitchen!
I managed a gym visit, afterward, and included the treadmill in the day's activities.

Today, the contractor and helper are installing tile in the shower. He says that he'll get it about halfway done, today. He was doing prep work as I arrived.
I'll head over to my friend's restaurant, after a stop at Home Depot. He has a leak in one of his sink drains. Did I mention that I hate plumbing?
Somewhere along the line, I'll stop by the gym again, and I've got to do a bit of Christmas shopping for Brenda.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Gosh y'all are up early today. Makes sense for Ray and for Martin, but the rest of you could do well on the farm, they get up early too. Thanks for the Roast, Ray, It cools quickly outside in my mug at a measly 30-something, and we won't see 50 today. Come to think of it, I'll never see 50 again, either. But at least 2 days of rain should drain away and dry somewhat.

Roz went to babysit last night for a young lady with 3 small children... and this youthful mother herself was babysat by Roz when she was a wee one, along with her 2 older brothers. This is how long Roz has known some people; we have attended several weddings of her friends' children whom she used to care for as toddlers or infants. Guess that happens more easily when you stay planted in one place for most of your life; I wouldn't know about that. Being an Army brat and then joining the Navy myself, I'm used to moving around state to state and country to country.

Last night was to have been draping Christmas lights on the front porch, but she decided before leaving that I should assemble a white artificial tree in the dining room instead. She in her expressive personality style, has 3 trees every year... the white fake one which is only decorated with patriotic ornaments, the old tinsel tree in the bedroom with the color wheel, and the real tree for the living room, which we've yet to retrieve. Probably this weekend, as she has us scheduled for parties and holiday get-togethers most of this week and going forward. Not much riding going to happen, I'm afraid.

Nonetheless, my upcoming schedule includes going to work every weekday - as an aside this is how I test if it's a "REAL" Saturday, because I don't go to the office on those days - so I'd best get on with it.

I'll check in with y'all later, so do your best till then. Even if it's procrastinating or napping. Because naps are important, too.

Morning all! Overcast and grey here. Currently 5C with a predicted high of 6C. Sun is predicted for later but it'll be dark by the time I ride home as I have a late meeting. I am weirdly enough, hoping it gets cancelled. On the upside, there is no snow. I kind of miss how it looks, I don't miss shoveling it or driving through lots of it.

A number of visitors we were expecting this week have tapped out due to illness or other reasons which means we have the house to ourselves still for about a week or so which is nice. Quiet and we can putter away at putting things back or finding new places for things or just getting rid of things. Just one of those things....

Hope everyone has a great day and does whatever's their thing!

Ok, so I'm late to the party. Whatever snow was out there has been taken away by the sunshine. We have a Solarium (READ: some goofball enclosed the porch with left-over windows) and it is heating up wonderfully.

The breezeway is finished until warmer weather. There is more to do but warmer temperatures are required. In the meantime it has been a wonderful project as we can bebop between the house and shop/studio space.

Spousal Unit's Aunt is well and has shown a level of discomfort about her new place. Only so in the way that she truly enjoys being there and doesn't have the heart to tell us this as if we would be unhappy about her preferring being there vs being here. I'm grateful for her time with us. I'm happy that she feels very much at home in her new place. Everything is as it should be.

You cats be safe and strive to be the person for another that you once needed the most for yourself.
