Want to get a tank bag for ST1100

If you have a free rear seat (vs a tank bag), the Nelson Rigg rear pack bags are nice and come in 3 sizes. Not too much $$$ either.

I bought a cheaper knock off tail bag (Cucyma brand) and I move it from bike to bike with straps on all 3 when I ride:

How waterproof is this when not using the cover?
I see no prices listed?
I just looked- seems it’s no longer available- sorry (I got mine from a private vendor years ago- slatinmotogear.com but I don’t think they’re around any longer). It was decent in the rain the few times it was exposed (no water intrusion without a rain cover). Might be better off with the Nelson Rigg I guess. There’s others like Kemimoto on eBay and Amazon that are cheaper and likely work the same.

They all have that carbon fiber look on the top (that I assume is waterproof) so I would assume they’re all pretty equal- the one in the link is only $50 so pretty economical.

Good advice about the paint, was planning to ask Andy at the Race car shop next door for the supplier of the Mylar wrap they use on the race cars . A search on Amazon has only shown not wide enough rolls.

What the .... ?!!
Well, my theory is that you first have to place your butt to suit the foot-peg location, then you have
to place your hands to suit your shoulder location.

I have fairly long legs that don't enjoy being bent sharply for very long. I first looked for a seat that
relaxed them a bit. Note the thickness of the RDL seat, which I bought from a guy with shorter legs.

Then, after raising them all the way and needing even more, I added 3" risers beneath the Helibars
to bring them even farther up and back. The results make sitting upright much more comfortable.

By chance do you remember where you got the 3 inch risers?

So have ordered the Rhinowalk tank bag, Amazon says should show up April 3rd .
Should get a pillow or somthing close to the tank bag size and check fitment. . I had an 1100 with 1 inch risers. A smaller bag still hit the bars even with the bag moved to the rear just mounted slightly over the gas door.

I have put my old tank bag on which should be the same size, and yeah the handle bars hit on full turns, but I don't do that many U-turns , so not a problem.
