I guess I beat Saddlsor to the wear bars. He probably beats me to other bars. Mileage is 18,800 and tread is even with the wear bar in the center groove. About a fingernail away in the side grooves. I must say I'm pretty disappointed in this mileage. I was hoping to slap another one on there and make it thru the HOT rally (6k), the IBR (12k) and the seven weeks in between. Not going to happen.

Maybe adjust your air pressure down a bit? I run only car tires on my Valkyries and usually get around 40-45,000 from them running 26-28 psi. I mostly now run Michelin CrossClimate2 tires.

I got 35k on mt bridgestone CTs. The vredestein is a softer compound. And at 28 psi the rear is squishy. .

Not going to put another Vredestein on your bike or it will not last the two rallies and riding between?

There are a few different types of that tire. What is the UTQG # and that will tell you the expected mileage on a car.

Well tires are like women and there are all different types for different things. I have tried numerous types of dark side tires and the Vredestein is the best handling tire I have tried and I got 30,000 miles out of my first one on my 07 ST.

I only got 3000 miles out of a Bridgestone BT30 and some people get over 10,000 miles.

It sounds like you need to find a very hard compound tire that is flat across it as it looks like you don't use the sides and wore out the center of it. If I remember you were running a very high PSI on that tire.

Good luck on finding the right tire for the type of riding you do.

I will stick with the Vredestein tire unless I find something else that works better.

Already had a Vredestein sitting here so it's going on. It won't last. I'll be around 13k when I get to the start of the IBR. But that's ok, I have another Vred sitting here on another rim. I just don't like changing them.
