"of course does size matter...
who would want a small cup of coffee?!!"

G'Day...

9°/21°C, blue skies again, glaring sun, some wind predicted for the afternoon...

office, still slow...

I admittedly slept very well, GF staying at her place makes me a "grass widower"... hence no angry grizzly snoring aside me...

Sufficient night's rest is an attribute not everyone out there seems to share... you can observe that in traffic behavior...
(Too) Many out there seem to get into their cars like under 5 minutes after crawling out of bed... dazed, zoned out, acting like under influence...
Would be way too stressful and hectic for me, I need my procedures in ze morning...
Up at 0545hrs, celebrating my cup of Joe, etc... but be out the house by 0650, 0700hrs latest and at the destination by 0730hrs...
Within that window the traffic still rushes along fluently... people actually want to get to their destinations...
After 0730hrs the zombies are out, likely civil servants, officials, desk-jockeys who do not have to worry about their pension and seemingly
bare any motivation to get to, wherever they're creeping toward to...

Have a good day and stay clear of road zombies!

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee start, Martin.

Sufficient night's rest is an attribute not everyone out there seems to share.

Today, that includes me. I awoke first at 0200, remaining awake until 0245 or so, then woke again an hour later. I threw in the sponge, surrendered to the mind rodents, and got up around 0415 but it's taken this long to get my own coffee made, get the kitchen cleaned up after yesterday evening's Front Porch Sittin'™ event, etc.

Yesterday was, from a weather standpoint at least, absolutely picture-perfect: dry air, bright sun in crystal clear, cloudless blue skies, comfortably warm without any hint of being too hot, just enough breeze to be pleasant... a stunningly nice day. Today may be similar but somewhat warmer, topping out around 85 rather than yesterday's mid-to-upper 70s, and with fried eggs replacing the sun, apparently:

My friend will come by this afternoon for ukulele practice, and before that I'll wrestle with bank paperwork as I continue the process of taking over as Trustee of my sister's trust, following the death of my brother (the original Trustee) last month.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Thx Martin!
Occasionally I drive Mrs Stu to work at around 8, and pick her up at 4ish, in the «rush» hour.
Sometimes it takes two minutes more than outside the said rush hour…
We’re heading for Oslo tomorrow, and they probably have the same issues as you, so we try to arrive and leave avoiding the jams.

Been on seven errands so far today, preparing for the trip.
I’m still helping out my son, and need to bring all sorts of dohickeyes to avoid spending too much time on buying these items in Oslo.

10˚c/50f, calm, fog.

Have a good one!
Stu

The parking lot at Costco is one of the most dangerous places to be on a motorcycle.
When getting groceries with the motorsickle, I mostly park right at the store front/windows, under the canopy where they have those bicycle stands...

With the car I like to keep my distance, hence park on a far corner, opposite of the entrance... might not always help to prevent damages...

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.
I expected the guy in the vid to return with his car totally surrounded, but a satelite?...

It's sunny and 49 this morning, rising to 78 with continued sun this afternoon.

Yesterday, I picked up Freya from the border, and we spent some time getting her back to normal. They said that they moved her to a "condo", after finding that she couldn't navigate the two level cage well. They said she kind of flopped from the second level to the first, so they put her into a cage of only one level. I've been noticing a similar decline, having to help her get down from the recliner.
And @Sadlsor, her lap time did go up!

We hung around the house, till mid-afternoon, when I went out with the neighbor's dog for a little under 3.5 miles.

Today, I'll head over to my friend's restaurant for filter duty, gym and shopping afterward.
I called about the Wing, and they have the replacement battery, and it was on the charger yesterday afternoon. I'll call, then swing over to pick it up after lunch. Maybe I can convince Brenda to ride to dinner.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Good morning, all. Thanks for the needed coffee, Martin.

I enjoyed 8 1/2 hours of blissful sleep last night, according to the display on the CPAP, WITHOUT A BLADDER BREAK! Yeah, I’m yelling. At 74, if I can skip the bathroom break for that long, I’m telling EVERYONE!

Today is starting at 65 and will warm to upper 80’s, under partly cloudy skies. I’m gonna try to rearrange the garage to make enough room the change the rear tire on the hack. That means crawling around on the floor to change the tire, since I haven’t figured how to get a 86” wide rig on a 48” wide lift. If I’m absent tomorrow, I’ve fallen and I can’t get back up.

John

The parking lot at Costco is one of the most dangerous places to be on a motorcycle.

It's one of the most dangerous places anywhere on the planet, for that matter, regardless of your mode of transportation.

At the Costco closes to me the parking lot is routinely referred to as "the killing zone". It's one of several reasons that I'll drive 30 miles one way to go to a different one, rather than five miles to the closer one.

Good morning, folks, and thanks for the coffee, Martin.

It's another fine morning here, but boy, talk about crazy yo-yo weather!! The weekend was cold and rainy and it actually snowed a little on Saturday morning. Yesterday was absolutely gorgeous. This morning, we have a mix of sun and clouds a temp of 14°C/57°F. This afternoon we'll see a high of 25°C/77°F (instant summer!!) with strong thunderstorms that will last into tonight. It's one of those "I have no idea what to wear" days.

Welp, gotta get rolling. Everyone have a great day, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Cold and raining here in Poverty Gulch today . Old guy wooden bat practice cancelled and so far no sign that the precipitation will stop so maybe I can go swing a golf club . Seems to be about 10C here and I am watching the gras grow after someone put on a lot of fertilizer . Oh well glad the Deere will geta good work out this summer . Take care everyone ,ride safe and have fun EH!

good morning all. thanks for the coffee Martin. 55F out but no dog walk this morning as I'm recovering from a toe nail removal from yesterday. doc said no walk today just rest and I could walk tomorrow if I felt OK. I start my walks around 0200/0300. wife said the dogs are just going to have to wait until 0500 or so as I'm not getting up that early. so this morning I start to soak my foot for 20 minutes 2 time a day until I go back to see the doctor in 10 days. no big deal just a pain in the butt. looks like rest and some tv time for today. with a high of 80F I might get some porch time enjoy the day.

stay safe

Good Morning, Weather should be good this afternoon for a ride, big Cheer, insured Lady yesterday so hopefully will take her for a ride on the street. Been 14 months since I last time I rode any where. Thanks Martin for coffee, had breakfast now time to take out the recycling and garbage, but first another COFFEE! Have a great day everyone,G

Morning Martin & All from a mostly sunny day in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 51F, up from 28F and heading for 63F. A slight breeze now, but later, the winds will be out of the NNW @ 9 to 15mph.

I made good progress yesterday with the AZ05 build. I replaced the air hoses to the throttlebody and then mounted it on the engine. Next step will be to put the engine in the frame. A step I'm worried about, in trying to get the U joint, engine and drive shaft all lined up. Also, going through some parts, I came across these.

I have no idea I had that many! :redface-2x:

And speaking of Costco, I'll be doing a Costco run today, in the truck. And since Chris's Quilt Retreat is just blocks away, I'll stop by and see her, and take a package of material to her that she was waiting on. (I know, I'm sure a GOOD husband!) :rofl1:

Eggs, bacon, toast & OJ to start the morning. Pepsi(s) will be had later.

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Morning all! Today dawned nice and sunny after yesterday's rain. Currently 12C with a high of 15C predicted.

Working from home today as later will have to go help daughter move from one apartment to another....well, the tail end of the move; removing some bits and pieces that will be coming home to our place for use. Not sure where....

Spent most of last night watching the election returns....I really need to get a life or at least borrow one from someone who has one....no real surprises other than the Leader of the Opposition losing his own seat. I expect there will be a loyal foot soldier falling on their sword in the coming days and giving up their seat so he can run in a by-election and get back into Parliament.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Woke up late today, a day I'm supposed to go into the office. So I didn't get to partake in the caffeinated offerings, but thanks Martin! I did ride in and it was just as expected, pleasant for the first half through the back roads, then awful once I hit traffic. I'm saving gas versus the cage, but smelling a mix of exhaust fumes and toke smoke for almost an hour isn't my idea of pleasant at all.

55F/13C when I left. Should hit the low 80s this afternoon on the commute home....yay. Then I wrestle a n old fridge out of the house and fix a bicycle tube. Loving my life! Take care y'all!
