I thought I read on this forum that it possible to make an external resister that would trick the thermistor into reading full with the proper resistance value. I thought if I could take the in-tank unit out of the equation that possibly I could stop the fuel gauge from flashing? I know I read this but I can't find the post.

I guess I could just buy a used OEM fuel pump too.

I have a used complete fuel pump assembly around here somewhere.
