I can honestly say.......no.
I'd never heard of the place name either, it's darn sarff innit like. Wiltshire ish. Nearer to Eric.
Brings a whole new meaning to "Don't Drink and Drive". Bless him.
I would think if they cremated him he'd still be burning now.
 
The guy is my hero just for riding at 95, an age I'll never see I'm sure. Sounds like he was pretty hardcore. Motorcycles and roads back then are not up to the standards we enjoy today.
 
The article didn't mention whether or not he had been drinking from those bottles. If not, then the fact that they contained liquor is irrelevant.

But, to lose his license for 3 years sounds like he must have been drinking. Why would they leave that out of the story.
