Top of Tank Pad

Hello,

I’m looking for a Pad that goes on the top of the tank behind the gas cap. I notice my riding pants have been giving the paint a little zipper rub. I’ve found that the OEM ones are currently unobtainable. I know they were common on the police bikes.

Anyone know of a good aftermarket option?

I wish I had grabbed one of those when they were made of Obtainium. I don't like any of the aftermarket options I've seen and I think I've seen them all. They all tend to look like some kind of reptile skin and/or are very thin like some kind of fashion appliqué.

A little more costly I'd rather get one of those Top Sellerie seats with the riser portion that does the same as the Honda pad. I don't lie on the tank so I don't need extended coverage. The TS would be an elegant solution for me.

Being used, they'll need some new 3M VHB tape to stick 'em on.

If I ever need to replace them, I would look at other brands. There are some made for the Rebel 1100 that would match pretty well:

That would practically be mandatory give the scarcity of factory kit aka NOS that been sitting on someone's garage shelf. Almost none of that rubber stuff is available from Honda and most of the retailers that may advertise it don't have it and won't be able to get it. So finding someone who has it new or used is probably your only hope now and in the future.

That REBEL pad kit you linked to looks promising but I'd like to see some pics of it installed somewhere. I can't stand any of the thin film Skeletor looking stuff. The top pad looks to be larger than I'd like but when that's all there is... Thanks for the link!
