You chaps are weird.
Trying to determine whether construction noise must all stay below the Ld value or if the entirety of the noise produced during the day must average out to the Ld value. If anyone knows, can you let me know?
And that's what the project guys are saying, that they only have to keep the noise over the 10 hour period to an average of the upper level permitted, i.e., they can go above the upper level occasionally as long as all the noise for the day, averaged out, is under.
Well, I always wash the filters of those split units, then I also wash and rinse the HEX/coil (which also cleans & disinfects the condensate pan and drain), but, if required, I also have remove that blower, give it a "pressure wash", while at it wipe that discharge chute clean, etc... clients end up with a fresh, clean, odor free indoor unit...ST1100Y, interesting you mention filters. One of the OHS facilitators told us a story about how this black dust kept ending up on people's desk every morning and they would clean it up and rinse repeat. They couldn't understand where it was coming from until they went up on the roof to the hvac system and had a look at the filters. I guess the maintenance techs' approach was to pull them out, bang them on the ground a couple times and then replace them back in the unit. Which of course just loosened all the particulates caught by the filter and sent them merrily drifting through the ductwork in the building.
Weasel, me o'd Canadian mucka.Morning all! It was a frosty ride in this morning at 1C, according to the bike. I still appear to have some work to do on preventing the visor from fogging up. I used a dab of Dawn dish soap this morning but may not have used enough or done it properly. What I didn't account for was the muck being thrown up by the other cars. Anyway, the last half of the ride was done with visor up and eyes watering, thankfully most of it was in town. That said, it's sunny and we'll get up to a high of 5C, though they have said that pretty much every day this week and I'm sure it's been warmer.
OHS training finished yesterday and overall it was pretty interesting. Much better than what I was expecting. The two facilitators did a great job of leading the sessions and kept things moving without leaving anything out. Pretty impressive skill set. I've encountered, as I'm sure many of you have, trainers who could put you to sleep by just telling you their name.

Hope everyone has a great day and remember, filters are your friends!
(Filter? I hardly even know her.....ba dump ba.....)
After a 4 hour shouted "conversation" I feel like there may be worse hazards than hearing damage. Homicide, for example.
My hearing is toast! I worked in loud press shops, metal fabrication & combine that with shooting guns, loud music & irritated females, it never stood a chance!Try working in the old computer rooms for 13 years! Chris gets so mad at me because I can't hear/understand her most of the time, even when I have the hearing aids in!
I suppose the coffee is cold by now, but I'll drink it anyway. Thanks!
I've been AWOL for far too long. The ST and 'Bird have just been sitting on battery tenders. Yeh, I'm a wimp. 50f is cold for me. I need some winter gear for sure.
I've missed you guys. How's the gang been?
I pretty sure that describes everyone. I wouldn't be here otherwise.)Cranky, crafty and crazy. You can decide who's who.
My Volt meter came in this afternoon, Yeah, now how and where to install it?
