Ay up. The Italian Dark Roast is ready, help ya'selves.
It's less grey, but that's about it. Cool, dull, miserable sort of weather day.
The sort of day you take your chipped tooth to your dentist for repair and do some cupboard filling whilst in Alnwick upon the Aln.
After that who knows, indeed, who cares?
The first narcissi are just about to open in the garden, probably around the normal time for that to happen and the farmers bird scarer has just commenced its first of many bangs.
Av a gud un and remember, it takes two sides to negotiate.

"You can't buy happiness, but you can buy coffee, and that's pretty close."

G'Day...

0°/1°C, foggy, drizzle, wet, ghastly, uncomfortable...

Found one for @Upt' North though:

Office, dull, skeleton crew, hence I'm inheriting all the omissions done by those who prefer to not show up...
like impatient/angry clients still waiting for documents or additional data on projects I've absolutely no information on...

So I'm constantly switching between archeology and forensics to dig up other people's :poop: in order to fix other people's :poop:... pfffff... :cautious:

Time for another cuppa Joe... :coffee:

And those maggot food supplements still somewhat peak in the headlines...

Came across to a different approach though ;)

When food becomes scarce we still have each other.

have a good one

Good morning and thx Ray!
For some reason, the term « killing two birds with one stone» keeps popping up today.

Been for an early walk.
Cold, but nice. Trail is frozen solid.
Now a three hour breake before cooking us dinner.

Around freezing now, cloudy, chanses of sun, a rather cold breeze from the east.

Have a good one!

Thanks Ray for getting us started. Good morning to the rest of you snazzy and dapper looking crew!

It's -17/-22 headed to -2/-8. To quote the Weather Channel we're in for a "wintry cocktail (that) threatens travel, power." Snow, hail, ice pellets (isn't that hail?) and freezing rain. Up to 30cm of it in powder form, which should convert to 30mm of liquid form. Schools here are already closed, as the weather's supposed to start in the next hour. I, however, am at work. Harrumph.
Should make for an interesting commute home. At least Thing1 & 1A had a combined brain on thier heads and came home last night vs tonight. It's a long weekend here and they decided to make the 3.5hr commute from PEI last evening vs today. Good call Things!

Hope everyone has a great day and avoids the plague. No one need that *****.

Obo.

good morning all thanks for the coffee Ray. 45F on the dog walk with a bright full moon up at the 12 O'clock position to shine down and light the path. we had a cloud or two and some stars but the full moon stole the show. not much on the to do list today. the high should hit 61F. I will just wait and see what happens. enjoy the day

stay safe

Good morning, everyone. Thanks for the much needed coffee, Ray. Yup, it’s foggy and cold here, too.

34, feels like 25, high of 46 expected. Looks like the sun is struggling to get out of bed. I sympathize.

Nothing planned for today, except for more work on the ark. Teddy is herding up pairs of animals for the voyage, but so far, there’s no felines in the queue. We’ve had 4” of rain this week, which is just the warm-up for the 5” of rain that hits here on Sunday, some of which may be snow. I’m not sayin’ we’ve had a lot of rain, but the robins and sparrows are growing webbed feet.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee, Ray.

It's 32 with freezing drizzle in MA this morning, rising to 40 and becoming cloudy this afternoon.
The possible 3" that the TV weather folks predicted ended up being about 1/2" and icy sidewalks.

I got about 3 hours of skiing in, yesterday, and left as the busses for the various after school programs arrived.
Brenda took a rain check on the chili, so that will happen, today.

I'll hit the gym in a bit.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Good morning all!
Thanks for the hot start Ray!
You lot are in fine form this morning!
Back home they’re having a good old fashioned winter! We on the other hand are having a grand time, with great weather with sufficient libations to ease one through the sunny days!
The biggest problem I have, is my expanding waist line!
Fat was never in a description anyone used for me! :well1:

Our departure date is starting to come into the picture, when we shop now, it’s will we really need that before we leave!

There’s a lot food that get gifted away when “D” day is imminent!

72/87F here in Ridge Manor, The S breeze won’t do much to cool us today!
Enjoy your Thursday!

Good morning, all, and thanks for the coffee, Ray.

The flakes have been falling all night and continue to come down until late this evening. It's snowing steadily but gently right now, but that will turn to blowing snow later on when the wind picks up. Looks like we get a break tomorrow and most of Saturday, and then a second big storm will come wallop us on Sunday. Two in a row, oh joy.
The current temp of -6°C/21°F with a feels-like of -13°C/9°F will rise to 0°C/32°F with a windchill of -5°C/23°F by about 2 p.m.

Have a good one, everybody. Stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Thanks for the coffee, Ray. It's not just cloudy here, but totally socked in, with an all-day rain yesterday... like that great song by the Atlanta Rhythm Session. (I still have trouble typing "rhythm" for some reason. It's just a weird word.) Sunny tomorrow, for riding to work and back home after work.

Y'all might think I was gone for a while, but I wasn't. I was just being really quiet. But I never missed a coffee, no, not one.

As the weeks of December, January and now Valentine's month (and maybe longer, before) have dragged on, it's become more foggy a memory of when I last rode the 1300. As time went on, accelerated by miles on that GSA, it occurred to me that I'll actually have to consider putting the ST battery on a charger.

Sunday I did, but first out of curiosity, and without checking my mileage log for the last ride date, I inserted the key and pressed the starter button. So close, I mean it was SO very, very close, when the starter motor engaged and gave a valiant yet obviously tired effort to turn over the engine. Oh, it was close. Why not? We'll give it one more try.

Aw, the Neutral light flickered, and I immediately let go of the red button on the handlebars. After removing it and before putting on the Battery Tender, voltage measured 11.84 volts. Not where it should be, but given the indeterminate passage of time, it was reasonable, and surely within the range of boosting it back to good health. Letting it sit overnight, I had 13.4 so I likely won't have to replace it; I guess it's about 2 years old. I have all that written down, but didn't take the time to actually look at my data. But we'll take it to work tomorrow, and I expect all will be good.

And another sign of neglect (I won't call it "abuse", not yet anyway)... I'm sure I'll have to add a mixture of hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen to the inside of those two rubber pieces.

Now that I'm nearly done typing this, I'm sure Patty will be along directly.

Have a good day, and if it's cloudy out, just make your own sunshine. See ya.

Good morning, body was done sleeping at 5:00 am, coffee and a bowl of cereal have been consumed. 6:25 at this moment soon time to make egg omelet and sausage. Then bring a spit sample to Lab, when they open, hopefully get my sinuses to heal. Other than that thanks for Coffee and comics guys. Oh yeah and the reminder that tomorrow is Valentine's Day,s most get a card for the wife.
Weather -5 C Starting to cloud over, but still can see the moon, which is supposed to set at 8:02 this morning. Thinking time to make that omelet Me was talking about. Have a great day,G

I have to go in to the office and deal with people, so the coffee is definitely needed, thanks Ray!

37F/3C and sloppy wet when I drove in. Got good things done last night on the snowblower, so now I won't need it for 3 more years, right? And also a little 3d printing. EDIT: oh, I also fixed my shop air compressor. Pressure regulator stuck open so needed a new one.

I may look into printing some rubber washers for the windscreen bolts or for the body work. Kicking it around amidst all the other unfinished projects. Help me!

Take care y'all!

Morning all! A bit late to the party. It's sunny with some thin cloud that will get thicker as the day progresses. Huh. I may be familiar with that concept.... It's -1C/-2C right now with a predicted high of 3C that apparently will feel like 0C.

My wife was discharged from the hospital yesterday and is much happier. Also found that the doctor I was ranting about yesterday decided to take it upon himself to get involved in my wife's case, no one asked him to, and when her lead doctor found out he was furious. Hopefully, the interloper was sufficiently chastised. I have been instructed that I will not be making a complaint so will settle for the moral high ground, airing out my grievances..... and maybe his tires :p.

Back to work today with a never ending onslaught of meetings on the schedule. I think some of it may even be kind of interesting. Novel concept.

Obo, good luck with weather apocalypse that is heading your way. Hope you stay hail and hearty!

Hope everyone has a great day and remember, sometimes you just have to let things air out!
