In-line with what I was getting at in our discussion of the other day. People tell me about the crippling mounds of snow that are coming, or the extreme rainfalls that will cause flash flooding, or the oppressive heat that can kill you, etc.. They see it on the weather network and it is often a more severe forecast than what I had seen from Environment Canada. Often it turns out to be exaggerated. It seems as though they take everything in the data to the extremes of what is possible rather than focusing on the probable with their forecasts. Click-bait is my guess. They are a for-profit network who needs to drive revenue by not only getting people to look, but also by keeping them looking.
Yep, here in Cedar City, you can see what the weather guessers are saying a week out, and it changes daily. And until it is in the air (Heat/Cold), or on the ground (rain/snow), you won't have a clue to what it is going to be!
