The Italian Dark Roast is ready, help ya'selves. Better get it before Keith starts Thursday.
Time zones, nuts. Wouldn't life just be simpler if we just had one GMT zone. What would it matter if you got up at 0600 or 1600 in your part of the world, it's just time innit?
Anyway, it's just weather innit? Dry, sunny and we may see 39 to 44. It'll do.
Some'ats will fill my day, the time is irrelevant, Er'Indoors is away to The Borders for er spring shearing.
I suspect paint or winter tree wash will fill my morning nicely.
Pffffffftttttt.
Av a gud un and remember, anybody seen my watch, I had it back in 2011. I bet it's running backwards.
Upt.

Edit....it was winter fruit tree wash. Pffffffftttttt.

-2°/6°C today, another pink-haze morning, only a few veil-clouds scattered across, mostly sunny...

With traffic being less dense during holidays, still nearly impossible to gain any shortening in travel time... as now there the daydreamers around... teaming with the half blind 5% off ice-scrapers...

GF kinda more alive, besides wolfing down a Gervais Obstgarten right out the shopping bag upon my arrival last night, she actually raided the fridge later for a midnight snack... ;)

And it seems she's now using the time to plan some rides...

Office, dull, client (certified engineer) requesting Owners Manuals for the kits installed; we already emailed those in September, so I emailed them again this morning...
only to receive a direct answer (quoting my email!) requesting Owners Manuals for the kits installed about 45 minutes later... dafuq?!

Should I really send the very same *.pdf manuals again? Is this a hoax? Are academics dense by nature? Should I call and read the manuals to him?
Questions over question... seems I need to pour another cuppa Joe and mull that over a bit more...

And the boss just ass-dialed me... he's out skiing with da kids...

cheers!

good morning all. thanks for the coffee Ray. 52F on the dog walk with nothing but stars. No clouds and no Mr. moon. made for a nice walk.
this morning is gym day so there goes the morning. shouldn't complain after all it is for my health. afternoon high should see 78F. that leaves the door open to do a lot of things. I will just have to wait and see what happens. enjoy the day.

stay safe

Morning all, and thanks for the coffee, Ray.

As for your watch running backwards, that can't happen. Watches don't have feet, they only have hands.

What you do have that runs backwards though, is a fan. In Imperial that's reverse. Your welcome.

-18 feels like -21, headed to -14 feels like -22? So warmer, but feels colder. Sounds about right for February.

Hope everyone has a great day and remembers when someone requests something stupid via email, accidentally send it to them 50 times in a row.

Have fun with that!

Good morning, all. Thanks for the hot cup this morning, Ray.

49/63, with late afternoon storms. Can’t complain. Physical therapy this morning. It’s only 10 minutes of easy exercise, but it leaves me sore for 2 days. I get the bandage off tomorrow , so I’ll be able to show off my scar. You’ve been warned.

If one of y’all will co-sign on a note, I’ll fry up some eggs.

But.......what if your feet smell and your nose runs?
Strange innit.
As for academics.........pffffffftttttt.

Well, turns out academics are kinda dense...
When you don't scroll to the second page of an attached *.pdf... you just might not see the logo & name of the equipment in question... pfffff...
... command for email-bombardment cancelled ... :poop:

On a more positive note: delivery arrived!

That'll keep me afloat at the desk for a while... :coffee:

Ceiling fans over beds are dangerous. Over zealous coitus bouncing can lead to head wounds that required Dermabond to close them up... umm, so I've heard.

... now don't get your knickers in a twist there ...

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Ray.

It's sunny and 17 in MA this morning, rising to 27, later.

Yesterday, I made it to the gym, and walked a bit, before heading to our "First Tuesday" event. We had a light turnout, but it was all good.

I'll head to the urologist, later this morning, and on to the gym, as well.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Good morning, all, and thanks for the appropriately caffeinated libations, Ray.

It's sunny, clear and c-c-cold again. It's currently -18°C/0°F with a feels-like of -25°C/13°F, and that isn't going to budge much. It will be an "admire the pretty sunshine from indoors" kind of day. I'll be slogging away anyway, so doesn't matter.
Last night's dinner was delightful. It took place at a French bistro-style restaurant called "Bouillon Albert" on Rue Saint-Denis in Montreal's Quartier latin (Latin Quarter), which is much like Rue Saint-Denis in Paris's Latin Quarter. Same idea - tree-lined boulevards, restaurants, shops, university campus. It had been quite a while since I'd been in that area and it's still as vibrant as ever. And there is something magical about the Latin Quarter, all snowy, lit up and abuzz on a cold February night. "Bouillon" simply means "broth" in French, as does the same (borrowed) word in English. A "bouillon" is a French bistro that serves up simple, reasonably priced but very good fare. Bouillons came into being in France a very long time ago as a place where workers could go to have a tasty but affordable meal. This one in Montreal works on the same principle and is very reasonably priced, but really, really good.

Anyhoo, everyone have a great day, stay safe (and warm), go safely and eat your soup.

Patty

Thx Ray!

24˚c/75f, sunny, a breeze…

They sell a special beer here which costs $5 back home, for $1.
So far I’ve saved $3000.

Have a good one, and please no more showing of nickers!

Stu

Yesterday was a walk in the park

Good evening everyone

Thanks for the Italian roast Ray, but what took you so long? It's dang near 2200 hours on Wednesday evening here in Hanoi.

Okay enough bitching from.me. For once I'm ahead of the times, I should be grateful.

Scenes from our farewell in Laos. Actually, we were in Thailand last night so these are Thai greeting scenes, I suppose.

We had an uneventful, if long, transfer from where we got off our Laos boat to Hanoi, only to be left standing at curbside for 45 minutes. We were at pickup stand number 9, our ride was waiting at stand number 12. It all got sorted out in the end but the rest of my crew are a bit grumpy.

Office, dull, client (certified engineer) requesting Owners Manuals for the kits installed; we already emailed those in September, so I emailed them again this morning...

He wants the paper versions, maybe.

Tomorrow we get a 2 1/2 hour overland ride to our boat, then start the ten day journey back to Hanoi.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them.

Forgot to mention: while killing time at Chiang Rai airport, I spotted a coffee and tea kiosk called 168°C Tea and Coffee. I suppose / hope their products come with a Contents Under Pressure warning if they really are served at that temperature...
